People just can't seem to keep him off their lists (sexiest, intriguing) or to keep his photo off their cover with these issues. No, not the main cover, but they know that by putting his little mug on the front, they're gonna sell more issues.
I'm going to make a prediction here...
Come spring, I'm gonna bet they're going to give him 'The 100 Most Beautiful People In The World' cover as they did it with DiCaprio during the Titanic tsunami.
If Remember Me is well received in March, you can bet your first born on it. And if not, they may do it anyway in anticipation of another tidal with the upcoming Eclipse.
Personally, I wish they would put both Rob and Kristen on such a cover. Because as beautiful as they are individually, together...they are breathtaking.
Okay. Rob is breathtaking on his own. But you know what I mean. Together, they are stunning.
Okay. Rob is stunning on his own. Oh hell, I give up.
Taylor Swift is adorable and I"m so glad that young girls have a pop idol who doesn't have a sex tape out or nude pics on her myspace. But, intriguing? I don't know if that's the word for her.
Robert's one of the few younger stars you can use that word with, simply cause he's a bit elusive in interviews and doesn't hog the spotlight on his off hours.
He IS one of the most intriguing persons I have ever experienced, and that experience is only via his interviews and photos. Rob is surely one person I would like to meet and befriend.
We may be getting into the "over-exposure" area here...he needs to be careful. It happens...think Britney....think Octomom....think Branjelina....people start turning on celebrities when they become overexposed. Not us of course, but soon they start making personal attacks and making fun...that would be too sad to bear.
Just to clarify....not comparing Rob to any of these people...its just they all became too famous and bad things happened. Hope he chooses judiciously.
Yes, he is over exposed and will continue to be so until the Twilight Saga is put to bed (I'm guessing sometime in 2012). That's alot of over exposure and sadly, not of his doing. He's a commodity now and is being sold like a painted whore. And so...the backlash has already begun and I'm guessing, it could get quite nasty before all of this is through. Which is why I'm hoping that once he's able to, that he'll just walk away from it all for awhile. Let the insanity die down and then come back and pick it up again.
I remember all the madness surrounding DiCaprio in the wake of Titanic. But there were a few striking differences. DiCaprio already had a body of work beneath him (and an Oscar nomination at 19) and the Titanic insanity only lasted about a year. From start to finish, Rob will have to endure at least three years of the Twilight madness. And he doesn't have that body of work beneath him, which is why he's trying to build one between the Twilight films.
But like DiCaprio, I think Rob's got the talent that will see him through all of this nonsense. If he doesn't mentally crack up first, I think he's gonna have a major career. He's talented and talent will always outlive the hype and bullshit.
Intriguing is the perfect word for Rob. Noone has captured the hearts or the imaginations of so many different women at once since I don't know when.
Leo is great, and Titanic was epic but I somehow missed all the bruhaha over him. Is he handsome, yes. Is he talented, yes....is he intriguing, no. Noone is. Not any of the hotties out there today are.
That's why Rob is special it's something intangible, something beyond his looks, beyond his talent, beyond his personality, even. Something. I don't know what, but, it's there and it makes my heart break and it makes my heart race...
@d67, ITA with you. When has anyone had 12 year olds all the to 90 year olds all crazy about the same man? And there isn't just one thing.. there's a million different things about him.
Although I think most 12 yr olds are in luv with Edward more than Rob.
He does have that "it" factor and mo one has really it like this before.
Rob IS intriguing on so many levels but -yes ...much as I hate to admit it, he is in danger of being over-exposed...but I still want to see pics of him on a daily basis....not going to happen I know. However...that is the charisma I get from the man...and I am way too old to know better. As far as his association with Kristen goes? I couldn't care less...she acted with him in a succssful film...so what...don't want to offend KStew lovers but I am not a fan...say no more. Off topic but in response to the Sir Ian McKellen thread...how cool is that? He is such a well respected actor here in the UK. I would love Rob to act albeit in a small part alongside him. I am sure Rob would learn so much. I don't have much knowledge of theatre....and I live less than 20 miles away from Stratford Upon Avon...old Will Shakespeare's birthplace but it would be wonderful if Rob could perform at the RSC in Stratford...I'd be there every week! They're renovating the old building...it's going to be absolutely fantastic when it's finished!!!!!
He's been overexposed for months now, the height of it being during summer with all the NY insanity and Robsten rumors.
But he'll get an extra dose of media attention at this moment in particular because media outlets are doing their end of the year lists and Robert will most likely be on them in some capacity.
Twilight is overexposed too, I'm not sure how they can sustain interest with this much media attention on it without jumping the shark by Eclipse.
To be absolutely honest I'm bloody sick of Twilight at the moment. Can't wait to see him in something new...so bring on the 'Remember Me' publicity...although maybe we should wait until after Christmas...
My fear is that -with our short attention spans- by the time Breaking Dawn hits the theatres, the Twilight tsunami will have ebbed and that it might go out with a whimper as oppose to a bang. And if it does, THAT is what will be remembered. Not the success of it, but the eventual failure.
And despite all the hype and bullshit, we don't want that. If that were to happen, his career would take a BIG hit. These films, ALL OF THEM, have to succeed now. In fact, each subsequent one has to do better than it's predecessor or else it will be seen as 'less.'
nik--I think his career would take a hit only if he has nothing else, if he is only seen as Edward, but he DOES have other works in the works. I think ultimately it will be a good thing for Rob. And I wonder to what extent the photo shoot wtih Emilie is not just for publicity for Remember Me, but actually a planned step to start establishing himself in something other than Twilight saga.
LOL @ nik...and I completely agree with d67 & rpg. He is intriguing. I know I've been intrigued since the first time I laid my eyes on him! And what would we be saying if they did a 100 Most Intriguing People and Rob WASN'T on the list?? Umm hmm, we'd be bitching at how they left him off the list when he's obviously the most intriguing person of the year...or decade...or century...or ever maybe.

LMAO Nik. I must say I find him the most intriguing person EVER.
Lol, he does fine with or without Kristen on his arm, or lap or whatever it is they do.
He certainly intrigues me...

Ha - he's the only male on the cover (sorry MJ, but....)
Just to clarify....not comparing Rob to any of these people...its just they all became too famous and bad things happened. Hope he chooses judiciously.
@RB- LMAO about MJ!!!
Sparkle...

didn't we all know this...
other subject - best Holiday banner yet, keep this one up for a while it's great to look at while at work.
work sucks but i am getting paid to just sit here and answer phones that aren't ringing and browse the internet and read and look at Rob :))

Lots of pressure here.
