I always think of Rob as beautiful, or gorgeous, but not my mind's definition of 'pretty.' Has 'pretty' changed in meaning, sort of like 'gay' has changed over time? (The lit I love has gay meaning happy; what a skewed idea girls get reading that today!!!) I have in my mind that 'pretty' was for girls, a feminine delicate beauty, whereas beautiful could mean gorgeous for either gender. Has it changed? And if so, when? Was there a turning point that can be specified, like some reference in the media?
LOL I think it's so funny and cool that Twilight is literally taking over everything. I mean even the Harry Potter cast now can't get an interview without being asked about Robert Pattinson most of the time (it's hilarious). Harry Potter who?
However I do think that the "robsten" question is pathetic. I'm just wondering will we have embert soon lol, or umbert (because I heard that Uma will be playing opposite him in a movie he's signed up for)lol.
I can't believe that the Harry Potter cast is getting that question as well, it's just too hilarious.
However I am glad that Twilight is taking over everything! And that it is so successful, first because it is the first franchise that I have ever been really interested in. I didn't like vampires before, and had absolutely no interest in them or in paranormal stories, until Twilight came along.
I remember an acquantance once before the Twilight movie came out encouraged me to read Twilight, and I said that I have no interest (I even remember rolling my eyes). But after watching the movie, I went and read all 4 books, I bought the first and borrowed the other three from the library and read them all. And while the books are not perfect, I was completely hooked because of the E/B love story/romance.
And right now Twilight is probably the only paranormal romance and franchise that I am interested in and a fan of! I just hope that they don't ruin it in the upcoming movies, and keep it focused on what it IS and on what made it successful and great in the first place, the E/B ROMANCE.
And I hope that this success will cause companies to start producing many epic romances like Twilight.
