Entertainment Weekly Readers say Robert Pattinson was one of the Most Fascinating People of 2009! Take that Barbara Walters! Power to the people! *too much eggnog* :)
From Entertainment Weekly :
Barbara Walters' annual special — this year featuring, among others, Michelle Obama, Kate Gosselin, Adam Lambert, and Sarah Palin — had many EW.com readers sounding off about stars who didn’t make the cut. Your picks:
I was sure that Barbara would have had Robert Pattinson as the No. 10 surprise guest. No British personality has garnered this much fan worship since The Beatles. —Kitty

That's some HOT shyte right thur..I don't care who ya are..bwahaha~!!!
I love eggnog :)<333
I just went and saw New Moon today for the 2nd time. I just can't believe that a person like Rob even exists! He is so "freaking" gorgeous! He is so different looking...like Stephanie Meyers said, his facial structure is different. And I know why middle aged women like me are attracted to him because he does not look like a typical 23 year old. He looks 30-32. Every 20 something kid I see I am in no way attracted to. I'm like "he's a kid....he's so young looking". Rob is almost "otherworldly" looking...I swear! My friend who was with me said "I just wanna rip his shirt off!" I totally agree!! You're beautiful Rob...have a great Christmas!
@LovesRob........lolol
Right - he has such a unique look and personality too - one minute he's very boyish and shy and looking down and acting all - take care of me like.....and the next he's saying something really wild or using curse words or acting cool and bad with a ciggie and beer in his hand. He has an old soul.......listen to his music choices...they are all of old burned out or raspy soulful singers Tom Waits, James Brown, Jeff Buckley, Van Morrison with a lot of pain behind their singing. And he likes classical music too - he's so well rounded which makes him seem more mature as well.
Cannot wait to see him seducing the many older women in Bel Ami - that will be so awesome.
Did you like it better the second time?
I've only been once too and was bored except for the precious moments Rob was on screen. I want to go again before it's not on the big screen anymore - they're taking it off lots of theaters here, but not all yet.
Just had a thought.......since Rob said he wanted to kiss Ricky Gervais under the mistletoe.........I wonder if he's going to be a presenter at the Golden Globes?????????
Gozde, Kate, Kat?????? Anyone know??
I loved it even more the second time. In some ways I liked Twilight better...but in some ways I liked New Moon better. Kinda wierd! haha! In some shots Rob didn't look his best I thought....but...he is ROB...and he looks great no matter what! haha! I do wanna see it a 3rd time before it goes out. It's still at the theater here for now. Does anyone know if he and KS are together over in London? I so wanna know! I don't know why..I guess I just wanna know he's with a girl and happy, you know.
oh ya, I know he was only kidding about Ricky Gervais...but what is up with that? hahah...he is a hoot isn't he? Why dosent he just get it over with and say KRISTEN!!!
Look at you Goz...putting those little dots above the "O" in your name....LOL! Now we can ALL pronounce it correctly!!!
Yeah..I honestly thought Barbara might have some young staffers who would have rec'd Rob to her.
Oprah and BabaWaWa just seem to lose touch with reality sometimes....
Jewels,
lmao!!! Baba wawa & oprah are totally
out of touch!
I have to agree that I was shocked he was not the secret guest Barbara Walters. But I'm sure Rob, if he was even aware of it was probably pretty relieved as such a huge focus on him would not his thing.
I don't know if Rob is with a girl but he is with his family so there's more than enough love for him, don't you think?
I love his sunglasses. lol
Oh I agree...he's got plenty of love around him! But there's nothing like young love at Christmas time...I remember those days...... :)
@lovesrob and @femroc
I saw new moon opening weekend three times. For me it got better every time. I think he played Edward perfectly. I definitely can not wait until Remember Me comes out.
I've seen New Moon 4 times by now and it still gets better every time. There is such a big amount of little details you don't notice unless looking numerous times.
OK ok - I'm going to go tomorrow to see it again - on the big screen before it disappears. Christmas is over the kitchen's cleaned up the leftovers are in the fridge the wrapping paper is in the trash so now it's time to relax and go to the movies. Yippee!
Plus - I miss Rob so much I want to go see him someplace. I can't believe no one got a pic of him lately........he's doing better at avoiding pappz.
Femroc,
I like your thinking! Everything is done and now it's time for me to enjoy... if I can sneak out tomorrow ( errands) I'm going again too before it disappears!
I too was surprised that Barbara left him off her list (as his name would only increase her ratings), but in a way, I was glad too. He's drowning in hype and over exposure at the moment (and I don't see it dying down for at least another couple of years), so he didn't really need this one too.
As for older women responding to him...
I've always thought that the maturity of his looks and the sexuality that just oozes of off him is far beyond that of your average 23 year old. And you watch and see if Hollywood doesn't start pairing him up with actresses older than himself for the next several years. And the reason why? Because of that sexual maturity, he can hold his own with older woman. It's already begun with Bel Ami. Oh, and Remember Me too as Emilie has got about 5 years on him.
As for the Golden Globes...
I'm sure they'd turn cartwheels to get him and they just might if he comes back to LA for the People's Choice. I heard that the results have already been posted online (didn't hear results though). I cannot imagine that he lost in his catagories though. And if he has won, you can bet that he'll be there. The stars know ahead of time and whether they want to be there or not, the studios, their agents, their handlers, etc., make damn sure they are there. Actors used to shun this one, but then it was seen as disrespectful to the audience. So...if they win, they show up to collect. Even the biggest of stars. So I'm guessing he'll be back in LA sometime in early/mid January. And if Kristen is going to Sundance for her films, if they are together, I can't imagine him passing up his first chance to go to the Sundance Film Festival. It's the coolest one of them all AND it's for independent films which is right up his alley.
Who knows? But I think it's a real possibility that he'll not be hibernating in London for a couple of months as he did last year. Maybe it won't be such a long drought after all. Possibly Globes, People's Choice and Sundance in January. The starting of filming of Bel Ami in February, Remember Me in March and just three months later...ECLIPSE!
But I shall repeat...who knows?
Nik
Just thought of something...
If Twilight has won ANYTHING at the People's Choice, you can bet your house that Summit will make damn sure that all three of them are there.
No abso-friggin-lutely doubt.
Thanks for dangling all those carrots for us! Hopefully, you're right and I have noticed that about the PC awards in the last few years, the winners do show up. I can remember when it was totally dissed. You're right about Summit, and they're still the BOSS, but Rob, et al, have done so much and might have legitimate reasons for not showing up. I don't want to get my hopes up. The drought has started to affect me. Good for him dropping off the radar, but tortourous for the Robsessed. Just one little photo or report of a sighting, that he is OK and happy whatever he's doing. Is that too much to ask? Yuh, probably.
