Anna Kendrick's new movie "Up In The Air" has been creating Oscar buzz for her for months now. The movie hit theaters this week and Anna gave an interview to AskMen.com where she talks about Up In The Air and the hysteria surrounding Robert Pattinson:
AM : Have you gotten more attention from the Twilight-ers since you got cast? AK : Yeah. The other great thing is that people just seem to be fine with me. Some people love Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] and some people say a lot of cruel things. And people tend to leave me alone. If they want to say something they tend to say something nice. Its an insane franchise to be a part of, but I got it the easiest out of everyone.
AM : Since the first part of Twilight has the atmosphere changed in terms of fans and paparazzi? AK : Thank God that people exist who know how to take care of that stuff. Otherwise, we’d just be mobbed everyday. They’ve set up a veritable fortress around every location that I’ve shot at with good reason. We live in our little blacked-out bubble.
AM : How do you compare the attention that circles Twilight star Robert Pattinson and George Clooney? AK : From what I’ve seen they get different sides of it. Rob gets a lot of screaming and a lot of prying and a lot of really, really intense praise, which doesn’t necessarily feel good when it’s coming from this hysterical place. Then I see people come to George and because he’s so established, some people try [to] trick him into saying something. And it’s interesting to watch him sidestep that stuff so gracefully and never lose his cool. I don’t know how he does that.
AM : Is there more hysteria around Clooney or Pattinson? AK : Rob Pattinson. I’ve never seen anything like it. Yesterday, people were asking me [at the Up in the Air premiere with Clooney], “Could you believe how crazy this premiere is?” and I was like, you ain’t seen nothing.
AM : Like stampedes and stuff? AK : Comic Con was pretty intense. We were in smaller theaters, and there were no barriers. I was just thinking, they’re feet away, and he’s standing right next to me. This kid is going to lose an eye right next to me. There were four security guards around him but all it takes is one and your eye is gone.
AM : Do you understand why people are so into him? AK : He’s attractive, charming and funny, but do I get why people do that? No.
AM : Do you think it's more because they see him as his character, Edward? AK : Yes. Absolutely. I understand that. Reading the books, Edward [Cullen] is like nothing you’ve ever read, and I understand why girls go crazy. But I don’t understand why there’s no disconnect when they see a real human being and start convulsing.

Dear God I feel sorry for people like Anna who are constantly being grilled about Rob and Kristen during their interviews. The interviewers need to remember they are meant to be finding out information on the star they are talking to and projects that they are involved in. It seems really disrespectful.
Bliss I so agree... it's one thing to ask how they're doing... But another to keep asking about someone else is rude..
Crazy fans do give us a bad name, but most of us would never do anything harmful to Rob...other than maybe wear him out**wink**
words can also be harmful.
Analyzing everything he does and says is also harmful to him. IMO
People should just leave him alone.
He needs a space......

she's so purdy..but I have to say..IMO she's lost too much weight..I prefer her with alil bit more meat on her bones..e.g. twilight..but she always looks great just like the rest of the twilight crew..whatever makes her happy :)

I am happy that Rob is so loved but I hope that the insaneness of hysteria does stop so that he does not have to live in fear of being mobbed.
We will be seeing a lot more of Anna-she's a fine actress. Always feel bad for the castmates of Rob associated with Twilight saga during interviews, too. You are just waiting for them to be asked about R/K/T and it really is not fair. However, they are all extremely gracious about it all-I guess they have to be.
This young tender was SO good in "Up In The Air", she held her own against George Clooney and actually stole some scenes from him.
I feel very sorry for the rest of the twicast. I mean this girl just won a award for her movie and instead of asking her stuff about this movie her experience making this movie, you're asking about dam twilight and her co-star. This is not really respectfull.
Media always say that actors aren't gracious with them, but is their fault. How can you respect someone who doesn't do the same?
This is just like the fucking interviewer rob and Kristen have to deal with in paris. Most of tthem didn't took the time to do they research so they didn't knew that eclipse was already finished and one called even called kristen, Kristen Edwards, i mean what the fuck is that? Isn'it part of their job to do a little bit of research before interviews.
Anyway, I'm really happy for anna and the sucess she's having with her movie. She deserves it.
LOve this girl, very honest and candid. And you can tell while Robert can't really relay his experience with his fans, Anna has no problem doing so. lol
And when it comes to Anna, I think she honestly seems fine talking about Robert. You get a sense that her and Robert and good friends, and she seems very willing to be like, "hey, fans, stop being freaks."
I like the fact that people are protective of him like that.
anna wears a few too many headbands for me. Ha ha. it's such a random thing, but her headbands in TW really bugged me and now she's wearing one here. Love her little black dress.
Interesting how clooney was SMA forever, but crickets at the premiere of his movie. Rob is the new IT guy. The papps are the worst part, but he'll get thru it.
And once again, another person from Twilight has to spend their entire interview talking about Rob. I'm surprised that some of these actors just don't haul off & slug the interviewer.
I think we need to be giving a big congratulatios to Anna. She was great in Twilight and NM,and obviously gave her the opportunity to really show her acting chops and get this gig. Who knew? To think she is getting Oscar buzz is amazing and I'll be cheering her on. (Despite the fact I think she was the one who threw the script in the trash, sorry.)
