Oh it's been a while since we heard "Robert Pattinson Smells"articles. Here is a new one from NY Magazine:
We've all heard that Robert Pattinson doesn't change his clothes more than once a week and is kind of smelly (just Google "Robert Pattinson smells" if you don't believe us), but it turns out it's all a strategic move to foil the paparazzi, as we learned at the Cinema Society and D&G-hosted New Moon premiere on Thursday.
Nurse Jackie star Peter Facinelli, who plays Robert Pattinson’s father in the Twilight movies, takes credit (blame) for Robert Pattinson’s rumored body odor problem. “He’s smart, because if he doesn’t changes his clothes and the paparazzi get pictures of him in the same outfit all the time, then they can’t sell the pictures,” Facinelli told us at Thursday's Cinema Society screening of Twilight Saga: New Moon. “That’s what I said he should do; I said, ‘You should not change your clothes, this way, how are they going to sell the picture of you in the same outfit all the time, because it will look like it was from the same batch.’” Father knows best.(Gozde: As much as I'd love to give credit to Peter for this, Jennifer Aniston has been doing that for years now. She used to wear the same clothes to go shopping claiming the same thing: they can't sell pictures if they all look alike. Plus Rob has been doing it since Harry Potter, I don't think it's a strategic move :)))
Pattinson’s co-stars deal with the issue in their own ways. The lovely Ashley Greene, who plays Pattinson’s sister Alice Cullen, tries to avoid breathing when in his presence. “You know what, I think maybe out of a defense mechanism, I don’t sniff him,” she said, laughing. Kellan Lutz, who plays brother Emmett Cullen, admires how Pattinson still looks great, even in musty attire. “He’s got a great style. I wish I could pull off the easiness that he does,” Lutz told us. And director Chris Weitz is actually grateful that Facinelli gave R-Patz the sage advice. “I can smell him coming, that’s the nice thing,” Weitz explained.

I always thought it was a good way for Paps to live him alone because of that same thing Peter said, if they catch you with the same clothe all the time the pictures are not worth as much.
In Roberts case i think this doesnt matter, Paps dont care.

I met him in Paris, two weeks ago. Rob was warm and smell good... Just a taste of beer in his breath, it was pretty sexy...

Huh? He doesn't even wear the same clothes every day. I mean we all know most of his few pieces of clothing, but even if he often wears them (the Stoli-Shirt... ;)) he mostly combines them differently.
They obviously took those comments of Chris Weitz and the cast out of context for this article, I'm pretty sure they were just joking IF they actually said any of it...
By the way: When he stood really close in front of me ten days ago, I couldn't smell anything bad! Neither could anyone of the many other people arround me. And no journalist ever reported something like that after meeting Rob in person. Besides, when you see Rob in person you're really impressed by his flawless, clear skin. Nobody with a bad personal hygiene could have that skin!
I think that Rob probably smells just fine. Like everyone here is saying anyone who has met him says he smells just fine except for beer breath. Well, Rob is a Brit who likes his beer (and I don't blame him being Irish and English myself,I love my beer). The "He stinks" rumors are probably just that, rumors. Remember when they used to say that Johnny Depp smelled bad and some other stars also? It seems like if you've made it big in Hollywood,there will be stink rumors about you. It's probably just that Rob's clothes are a little musty-smelling sometimes because he's not keen on doing his laundry and just picks up clothes that are laying around on his floor and wears them again; and that's just fine with us, right girls????? We love adorkable, musty clothes smelling beer-breath Rob, right??

I have the feeling that now while Rob is hiding somewhere secret, some magazines have nothing new to write about so they start writing the same old things with a couple of "new" "ideas". Rob-smells-bad is such an old joke, I don't believe that anyone still buys that. Reading this just makes me want more to sniff him to have my own opinion of how *good* he smells hahaa.
Alice, I was not far from you (do you remember me ? you are seated in front of me just ritgh now !! ;-D), I was just in front of him for the press conference in Paris, on the first row, at a little more than one meter from him.
And I can tell everybody that he didn't smell anything bad and his hair was still wet from the shower.

I don't know about you girls, but I like when a man smells a little... Ya'know, that peculiar 'manly smell' is so aphrodisiac!! It is for me...

Just because he's not like others stars, I mean he tries to be as normal as he can and papz doesn't know what to tell about him, one of them told me they liked to create stories... It's sad, for them.

I'm with crazy vamp. I love a man's real smell. Never understood covering that up with cologne. I like a manly man, not a Ken doll. And the shirt off the floor thing is what makes him the sexy, carefree young thing he is--to me at least. He can have his shirts cleaned and pressed when he's 40.

This article is total BS, but it's good for a laugh and it did have me cracking up.
I mean many fans have met with our one and only Robert and none came back reporting any bad smell.
So I would say Robert smells just fine, and he's incredibly FINE!lol
Rob and his hobolicious ways have helped me appriciate my DH who is also a devout hobo. LOL Fyi. He doesn't smell bad either.
The thing is they're true to themselves and not trying to be something that they're not.
