Can someone explain to me why the magazine titles in Greece are in English and rest is in Greek? It's very odd :)

i'm from Greece and i had never heard of this magazine till now!
to be honest, i have never thought about the titles being written in English before but i think that's because magazines like 'Free' are refered mostly to young people (not only teens, but older people as well) and young people use lots of English words/expressions!
Huh, that's very interesting. Thanks :)
By the way I saw that in an earlier thread you asked when New Moon would be released in Greece. The answer is: November 19th :)
They sell more like that. Multi culti touch if you know what I mean. East and west thing.Still think very well written for Greece which is quite far away from the twilight frenzy.
Valfa there is even an avant on 15 of November.
Yep...he's a god....
I dunno Gozde; it's Greek to me. ;-)
Another idea could be that if the magazine is international, the name will be written with latin letters because of the proper name. Just like they'll write 'Robert Pattinson' with the Latin alphabet, because that's how he writes it.
Did it make sence? :)
I'm from Greece and I also wanted to say that SOUL is an acronym -it stands for: Secrets Of Urban Life. =)
@dina hey sorry for double-posting here... but I just wanted to ask how did you find out about the avant premiere? Are you from Greece? And is there a way we can win or buy invitations or tickets or anything to watch it then??? Thanks a lot!!! :)
Anarene--thanks for that bit of info; I had studied ancient Greek a long time ago, and was trying to figure out from roots what SOUL would be in Greek!
Oddly, though, to me at least, SOUL is more fitting a title for that picture than Secrets of Urban Life! The question of a soul was an issue with Edward and Bella, and the soul peers out from the eyes, the expression.
@solas you're welcome...to be frankly I just googled it (it's Edward reccomended after all-lol) and I found out that it's about an international magazine that comes out in quite a few big cities ...like Stockholm, Berlin, London, Tokio, Athens, Paris etc.
So the name of the magazine has really nothing to do with the fact that it circulates in Greece, too. (I agree that the word soul fits better in this picture than the acronyme, though =D )
