Peter Facinelli Talks about Robert Pattinson (Movies.ie)

Peter was over here in Ireland in July and did this interview with Paul Byrne. Peter talks about Rob at 8.20.

Thanks to Irishtwisisters for the tip.

And for those that didn't know Paul interviewed Rob last year. It's a good interview so I'll refresh your memory

Did I mention, that I love Peter / Daddy C.? He's such a nice guy in private and a great Carlisle!

Oh how I wish we would get a similar interview with Rob soon!!!

RPLover said...

thanks, Kate! he seems like such a lovely guy :)

@Haystack-they are talking about his career, family, etc...then the interviewer asks him if he's ever jealous of Rob's popularity, and Peter says that it's been a blessing and a curse for Rob, he's grateful that he can go grab a coffee without people jumping out of the bushes at him, and that Rob stays in his room a lot. Nothing new but it was a good interview!

This is a great interview and Peter is always fun. I love that he explains Rob's experience so clearly - he is close to Rob and knows well what he is going though - but then he can't resist the dig at the end...

"Robert Pattinson is lonely, he needs more people to love him" haha
Is there anyone left on this planet who doesn't love this guy? LOL

such hottie and a lovely man to boot! team p-fatch!

@JandR: lately I've been thinking that if loving someone is wanting what is best for them and trying to promote their well-being over your own needs, then a large part of the Rob fandom WANT him very much, but don't love him much at all... Starting to feel like we take take and take, and he's been so good at giving giving giving. Something's got to give sometime, and sometime soon. Am wondering how he handles the NM promo blitz, and if that gorgeous unguarded smile will come back.

Love the Pfach interview, and loved the old Rob Interview as well. He's so sweet and I hope people give him some space, even though it probably isn't going to happen.

I've seen bits and pieces of that Rob interview but I don't know if I've actually seen it as a whole before-thanks for posting, Kate! :)

ha I love how Rob openly admits he's Catholic in his interview with Paul Byrne. People just don't do that, but Rob, he doesn't care, he's who he is :)

Whoa, I couldn't understand half of what the man was saying. Need to listen to people with Irish accents more often.

But aw, Peter. I just melt around that man. Such a nice, genuine guy.

I had already seen the Rob interview before, but I loved watching it again though, it's a good one.

I love that interview with Rob. I looked for it before. Love how he laughs when the interviewer assumes he practices abstinence too.

yeah, and i'm catholic too. One of my favorite Rob quotes.

Ok, I have to admit, when Peter Facinelli first walked on the screen as Dr. Cullen, I did an eye roll, thinking it was a cheesy choice to pick this 'pretty boy' who I knew from mostly his soap operaesque roles.

My bad.

The more I have gotten to 'know' this man the past year, from his interviews, and adorable tweets about his family and volunteer work, and his 15 years of acting work I really wasn't all that familiar with...I think I actually want this man's life, he seems to have it all! What a beautiful man inside and out, intelligent, generous, funny, secure, a loving husband...as much as noone could replace my RP, I have to say, Peter's maturity and confidence is crazy sexy and VERY inviting.

I remember Ashley Greene hanging all over him at the Vanity Fair photo shoot and it's easy to understand why people would feel so comfortable with him.

And let's face it...I dare ANYONE to convince me that there is any possibility this man isn't AMAZING in bed. AMAZING. Sorry, couldn't resist. Lucky woman, that Jenny. :)

And a fellow Italiano...che bello ragazzo, rawrrrr!

Yes, Rob can now say to ANYONE...........KISS MY ASS!!! How can he not get just a HUGE head from all this attention and adulation all over the WORLD........it's just hard to even imagine how big he's getting.

Peter's my 2nd fave vamp too. Although Cam also won me over. I don't normally go for the ripped, manscaped types, but I really ended up liking him. But they all pale in comparison to Rob.

Ah, the Movies.ie Ireland interview with Paul Byrne. Excellent interview with Rob.

It would be easier to follow (understand) Paul if you just listened to the audio. That's how I "watched" it on Youtube late last year.

Eventually, I found the Youtube video interview, but it was harder to understand the interviewer (Paul). Trying to listen/follow Paul was harder, because Rob's face was too distracting. It was fascinating to watch an animated Rob, as well as an intently-listening Rob.

When this interview first came out, there were heated threads on Youtube about Rob's revelation that he's a Catholic who believes in abstinence. Others contended that he was sarcastically joking (because everyone knew about his past relationships), while others believed that he was serious, because he was always so honest in his interviews, and that he was comfortable enough to admit it to an Irish media. It seemed many others chose to ignore the comment, either because it’s a non-issue , or because religion is such a touchy subject, especially that the Twi books were authored by a Mormon and the lead character Edward is being played by a now admitted Catholic.

My personal opinion is that, based on what I gleaned from his many broadcast and print interviews, Rob must have been raised properly and must have had good influences. (But I do believe that he has a rebellious streak in him. And his mother’s suspicion was correct; he does say naughty words sometimes.)
