The year may not be over yet, but People is already naming its Best and Worst Dressed celebrities of the 2009. Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Vanessa Hudgens are among the women receiving kudos for their various contributions to the world of style.
Actress Kate Winslet is named the Best Red Carpet celeb. Reese Witherspoon earned the title of Best Short Dresses, while Cameron Diaz got Best Jeans, and the first lady received Best Accessible Glamour.
Hudgens is celebrated as Best Hippie Chic, and Swift, as evidenced by her fantastic VMA gown, is recognized for Best Sparkle. (Kate: Now hang on a minute there. If you ask me, he would win best UNDRESSED list … because that's what I'm doing every time I see a photo of Rob.
People has the MOST boring sense of style. Hudgens is hippie chic? Reese Witherspoon on the list? God, Robert's way too cool for this list, seriously...he dressed like crap a lot of the time, but that's even more interesting than the yawn-inducing people on this list.

There is the fashion world (and even some fan world) definition of best dressed, which is hiring a dresser and making aperson into a Barbie/Ken doll, dressing to the dictates of the fashion world and not to one's sense of self and comfort. Then there is the definition of best dressed for those of us who have a sense of ourselves without the dictates of others; what is best for ourselves. Rob wears what is comfortable, not sensory-irritating, to himSELF and so he IS dressed the best- for himSELF.
