I admire Rob. But unfortunatelly he's now a goose that lays the golden egg. So, any news about him will bring "a fortune". So, the mags would do anything to sell the "exclusive news".

Catherine Hardwicke confirmed or denied NOTHING, that so called source from Ted C is nothing but ridiculous and he just simply spin things that she's ALWAYS said in favor of his Robsten obsession. You'd think he bet his whole lifesaving's to out them as a couple...
No her comments are nothing new, I have read/heard similar comments in every interview she's done about them. I suspect she may be the source of all these stupid rumors/speculations...
And of course there is no quote from Rob in these rags, as if he'd announce anything to them? LMAO. He doesn't even give them interviews (anymore cos I am not sure if he did in the past of course). All they come up with is the usual spin, speculation, taking things out of context and twist things around to make it LOOK like a legit article. Then they fail totally by using the usual excuse to talk outta their asses "an insider, a close friend to, a source, an ex employee, a friend, an associate," whatever looks "legit" but falls flat when you look closely lol.
I am not saying I got the facts either but none of what I have read/seen up to now is any kind of confirmation for me one way or another so I take them for their words...for now, as just being friends. Until THEY show us otherwise, then that's how I see it. If they show us otherwise hey cool!!

I will tell you this...and I think Rob is awesome. He is why I've been lurking here all this time... but if I was Kristen and he got into the car ahead of me, like he did in 2 of the videos from this weekend, I'd be a little miffed.

Hmm, that wasn't exactly a confirmation from CH was it? She was kind of referring to their chemistry, which she's said from the beginning that they are "fascinated" with each other.

Just visited the eonline article, and I knew I shouldn't have. I too believe that there is something going on between the two of them, but that was not at all a confirmation, it just left room for more ambiguity. It sort of seems like every person that comments over there either 1. has no life and spends all their time following the idea of "Robsten" or 2. is being paid by Ted C.. Some of them worship at his feet and it is rather disgusting to witness. Now I know why I do not read his blog.
I knew that place was quite unhealthy when I started seeing comments saying, "Free Robsten!!"
It is time to sell new magazines. Just a few weeks ago Kris had dumped Rob if I recall correctly. Seems no one can get a correct story and puts forth a lot of speculation. CH always said there was chemistry between them, I think more in the interest of getting people interested in seeing the movie and played that aspect up. Personally I never got or saw the chemistry.

Nick was there on Friday night. He hovered over them while they sat on stools, I was waiting for him to put a dunce cap on them. He wasn't there on Thursday night though and yeah, Robert scurries in the car first.

@ Maryann: As far as I know Rob never gave the gossip press any interviews (which is very wise). They had to make do with the official press conferences and they also used quotes from interviews he had given other magazines without naming the source.

If Rob EVER had a crush on KS... I guaran-damn-tee you that it was strictly work related... and I'd be willing to bet that IF there is any sort of relationship... it will fizzle out as soon as all the Twilight BS is over. This kind of relationship I can understand and handle... but for there to be any hint that he might indeed have a true heart felt crush on KS... leaves me totes cold.
Truely, none of us have a clue as to KS's character or personality. I can attest to the fact that I don't see much on screen- bleh... so what on earth could be the attraction? Aside from extreme loneliness?

I am afraid that I agree with latebloomer. I know I will not be very popular for saying this but I really don't understand the need for everyone, paps/fans alike, to keep trying to pair up Rob and Kristen. I really don't care, but he could do soooo much better. I really don't like Kristen, she is the same character in every movie she does. No range,terrible actress and she's always WAY too .... sour. Their chemistry is real. The millions of fans around the world would not have gone to see that movie multiple times if they saw nothing between Rob and Kris.You can only fake so much.
Now about Rob getting in the taxi before Kris...notice that Kris was running. They aren't supposed to be spotted together.The paps were already trying to get a pic of them together.They where trying to do a quick get away so not to be spotted. Moon just lucked out.
Nick was pushing Rob and was all up on Kris where she couldn't step back only side stepped. Rob was looking back and was holding the door trying to let her in first, but Nick was rushing them.So Rob just got in before Kristen.
You have to understand that their trying to avoid questions about their personal lives.And they don't want to be surrounded by crazy paps or fans trying to take pics.So please excuse Rob for his ungentlemanly like behavior. He means no harm. And I have noticed at times him looking back making sure Kris was still behind him and safe...like in Paris and in Italy.
I don't think it's too hard to imagine Robert liking her. He basically explains what he likes and admires about her in his interviews. He's mentioned that she wears her heart on her sleeve in her acting in a way he's never seen before, and that her talent made it hard for him to even look her in the eye sometimes, and saying she's the best actress of her generation. I think it's fair to say he really admires what he sees as her talent.
And when he has described the kinds of girls he likes, she fits the bill really. He's said he likes strong, crazy girls, girls who dress in jeans and t-shirts, girls who are clever. She comes horribly in interviews, but the common consensus is she has a dry sense of humor.
Although if I could matchmake him I'd set him up with someone like Natalie Portman, I do see where there may be attraction for him with kristen
LB- Kris and Rob do have a lot of things in common. Like
music,movies,they're both avid readers of some highly intellectual literature,they both love writing scripts.They are strong individuals who take charge of their careers.And so on...
No we DON'T know them personally. So to say she is not right for him or you can't see why he would want her. Well,it's because you don't know her like he does. And you have seen the right vids where they talk about some of their interest. You need to go and watch those MTV Twilight Tuesday vids. They are very telling of how their friendship started and why he has such an interest in her still until this day. There are other vids that are out there a lot of people who are in denial need to watch or watch again.
Most importantly remember MA was NOT out of the picture until APRIL of this year. So all of those old interviews just laid the groundwork for what we are ALL seeing now.

Kris even said "that she can look into his eyes and see his heart and he can look into her eyes and see her heart. Do y'all remember that comment? Kris had feelings for him and you could tell in a number of vids. She just didn't want to admit them. The girl is stubborn. She didn't want to give up her 3 year relationship with MA for a co-star that may be just a player. That's why she may have waited this long to feel Rob out.
Plus, if Rob is with her. I trust his ability to know who she is and that she wouldn't hurt him. They have known each other over a year and a half. For those who thinks it's just a fling and it will be over quickly because they are both young. Well,sorry to inform you of this. Rob was with his ex Nina for 3 years and of course Kris was with MA for 3 years. So I think they are mature enough to handle a long term relationship. Nina was a very in demand model who traveled the world. And MA is an actor who was off on different locations away for months at a time.

In terms of change, I've noticed his cast member mentioning that he's gotten more introverted and cautious. It's sorta sad.
And he himself has mentioned with all the fame, he holds on tighter to those he trusts even more now. It sounds like his tightknit group of friends are priceless to him, and from some of the things he has mentioned, it sounds like Peter and Kristen are people he trusts greatly from the franchise.
It sort of paints a picture of a guy who has circled his wagons, which isn't such a bad idea, knowing the type of people who are surrounding him now that he is famous.
I think they don't know what's going on anymore than we do. They obviously like eachother and are caught up in the twilight mania like we all are. How could they not be?
But I don't think they act on it because they work together and Rob is awkward and she is busy with all her stuff.
So, I think they believe they are just friends, but the question is always there too.
At most, they have gotten wasted and had some sloppy kisses or even shagged (yummm), but after that it would be awkward and undefined again.
So, we have to just wait and see if he somehow gets his confidence up and she somehow agrees to it, but so far that hasn't happened yet.
about the change, this for sure will change him and he already has changed physically, it's very obvious he's become more ragged, wrapped up, pushed around. He's admitted the screaming freaks him out and that he has major anxiety that he keeps inside.
I think he needs to talk to people like Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt and get advice from them on how not to go totally crazy with this. I don't want to see him end up like Heath Ledger, Robert Downey, or other stars we've seen go down in smoke over drugs.
I do see him sort of ending up like Hugh Grant, some scandal that embarrasses him and he drops out. But hopefully, he finds a way to handle it. Hopefully, his parents and sisters are still close by watching over him.

Wow, I think some of you posters are missing something very vital.
Kristen is the girl who knew from the moment she saw him that he was Edward. CH said she wasn't sure, but Kristen was adamant in response.
Robert was going through an unsuccessful year where he was about to give up acting. if you see pictures of him, he was sort of bloated and hadn't lived up to his promise with HP's success. And then in comes Kristen, fresh off her turn of Sean penn's into the wild, singling him out.
He talks about how strong she was on the set, how he learned a lto from her in terms of not giving in and how together, they became an unholy union who wouldn't budge if they felt strongly enough about something artistically. that image along cracks me up.
they became very close then, he even bought her a beautiful guitar for her birthday party. And who knows when their friendship turned into something else, but to say she's just someone to kiss when he's drunk and lonely is silly.
I totally get it if he fell for her, in many ways she was championing him when none of us cared if he was living or dead. Don't let her awkward appearances fool you-she's had his back from day one, and I think that means so much to him. That she was there when no one else cared who he was.

Katie-that point of them being an unholy union is true. Robert said so himself, that both kristen and him are very competitive, the type to challenge one another. But at some point, he said, that they formed their own little duo and everyone else was seen as the competition or the other team. That they did have that dynamic on the set, and Robert said they sorta isolated themselves from the rest of the cast and were annoying together for the directors/producers/writers as a result. They laughed about that tendency in the ABC interview I believe.
For the moment I believe they have a great friendship. I know Kris wanted him as Edward, but it was S. Meyer that said he would be a great Edward that really cinched the deal for him. Then the fans got on the Robert wagon. He said so in several interviews to this fact.
Rob was already hired for the part by the time SM weighed in, she helped with popular opinion though.
And Kristen said in front of CH that she basically cast him, and CH laughed and said that she thought a couple of the actors were great and that Kristen was looking at her like she was on crack, and was saying, no, it has to be Rob.
The studio head did not like him for the part-in the GQ magazine they were unconvinced they could make him handsome!! So he was a darkhorse choice, not a popular one.
Robert was very insecure on the set too, and CH and Kristen were a big support system. They both have talked about Robert not thinking he was pulling off a scene right and they'd basically calm him down and cheerlead him on. KRisten mentioned this in the Entertainment Weekly article last year.
People can get along, be friends and hang out together and they don't have to be dating. I don't understand the desire to stick them together automatically just because they are in a movie together. Could someone please expalin to me why everyone is so obsessed with automatically sticking them together? No, we don't know them personally but those who want them together seem to think they know alot about each of them and what they want/like. Don't believe everything that is printed in mags and interviews. Pic is proof. Where are the pics?? I don't understand why everyone eats it up. I have never been to Ted C's site and I have only been to Lainey's once. All crap so far.

I like Kristen. I like her spunkiness. I can't say that I like her awkwardness but that's precisely why I feel that I can relate to her because I am very awkward too.
She may not be smooth talking, but she is always sincere, and tries to say something meaningful. She often find it hard to articulate her words but she is not empty. And she is only 19!
I really really liked her when she said, at Com-con, that she can't wait to get pregnant. I could see that Rob looked at her across Taylor, full of admiration, and said that he's looking forward to perform the cesarean. Just perfect. If they didn't rehearse this before hand and it came out like that. Then they really are in tune with each other.
Why the obsession? The reality is that Twilight was a sub-par movie. I took a friend to see it with me, and we had fit upon fit of giggles because without reading the book everything was so random. The only selling point was "chemistry." "Rob and kristen have chemistry." Well, let's be honest, chemistry is code for "they totally would have fun bumping uglies." So these poor bastards "chemistry" was the only selling point-and thus consequent speculation.
And pictures aren't really proof in the scheme of things at this point. Everything is subject to speculation and motivations I think because so much of this has played out in the media and is thus tainted with.
i agree with a lot of you. i believe that there is something going on wit them. whether they are exclusive or not is still up in the air. won't believe they are official until either one of them say it.

sharperoni-hahah, i loved the c-section joke too. Kristen was so funny at comicon, she was yelling at people to stop recording Robert when he does open mic night. and then when he mentioned he always looks down now, she was trying to get him to explain why---since the reason is his fans are intrusive assholes. lol She's such a bitch, but a handy bitch when it comes to Robert's plight. I think her mullet emboldens her.
@ riley: My friend and I had not read the book before we watched the film, but things did not appear totally random to us.
I wanted to see the film because I read in a review that Rob did a quite good job, and she's into fantasy books and films anyway.
Yeah, their little stunt at MTV best kiss award was also cool. A class act. Both of them.

I'm just starting to ease over the fence to the Robsten side..however the important part is what Rob sees in her, he knows her on a level that none of us do.
The fact that he's stated in live interviews prove,at the very least,that he holds her in very high regard. So that's enough for me.
Maybe I'm biased as I have also been a Kristen Stewart fan for years.

If Rob said that KS was the "greatest actress of her generation"... well, I have no words for THAT sort of comment. Forgive me, but Rob doesn't have the chops to make that sort of remark... regardless of how sincere he may be. Is he grateful that KS basically campaigned for him for the role of Edward- you bet! Is he gonna act like a jerk to her? No way. Are they good friends? More than likely. Are they Fw/Bennies? Who knows?
They are both very young... and the truth is... ALL of this will be water well under the bridge in 2-4 years time.

greatest of her generation--I think he means for her age group. And to be honest, many critics would agree with him. I realize many rob fans hated her turn in Twilight, but she's been an indie and critical darling for years now. She's been handpicked by directors like Barry Levinson and Sean Penn, while she's been praised by the likes of Robert DeNiro and Jodie Foster and Bruce Dern.
Robert says exactly what makes her a good actress, that she wears her heart on her sleeve in a way he's not seen before. He's a huge cinephile, he's smart, literary-minded, and he's artistic. I don't exactly think his statement was inappropriate.

Everyone is so caught up in the whole 'are they OR 'aren't they' drama surrounding R/K and wondering when they'll confirm or deny. Has anyone stopped to think that maybe they don't even know 'what' they are at the moment?

And it's less about "no they aren't" vs. "yes they are" really. That's not very interesting. Either you think they are or you don't. There's no way to confirm either way, just speculate.
I'm just curious about some speculations that seem pretty unfounded though in terms of Robert in relation to Kristen and Kristen as a person. I think she seems to get a bad rap in some ways.

Tess I so agree. Had my little rant about it on a previous blog. It's time we dignified the whole topic of are they aren't they with moving on. I want to see "Robsessing" over that beautiful man and what he brings to each of our lives. I love him for how he makes me feel and I like to share that with others who are like minded. Isn't that why we're here?

To me it is all about the age thing.
Being a mum I would hope that my teenage daughter did not find the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with until she has grown up and lived a lot.
I was sooo not going to comment on this stupid speculation. I think it is demeaning. I am a bit frustrated by some of the comments and really I think it is silly that we even waste our time going over it 'ad nauseam'.
TBH it is no one's business but theirs and we are just feeding the media frenzy by showing any interest in their speculation.

I think Rob really didn't care that much about Edward Cullen's character. He still doesn't. But he is a professional and is doing the best he can portraying Edward.
I do believe what CH said in an interview that only after she mentioned to Rob that Kristen was going to be in the movie that Rob agreed to do the audition, and the opportunity of working with Kristen was the biggest motivation for him to do Twilight. Of course he liked CH and enjoyed working with her too. So Rob's high opinion of Kristen is not out of gratitude but of sincere respect.
I think even Kristen was not that keen on Bella's character. But she is a professional too.
Whatever their relationship, I do agree with CH that Rob and Kristen seem to have similar spirit despite their apparent differences. From what I 've seen of their interviews, their off-screen interactions have been very endearing.
I think if people want to talk about it, this is the post to do it. Obviously some people aren't tired talking about it, that's why this post has more comments than most. I waxed sexually philosophically on other posts that were robcentric. But I've commented here too. I don't feel any more superior for talking about his fine ass than I do whether I think this is a publicity stunt or not. It's all intrusive really, I'm sure he doesn't appreciate any of it!:)
I agree with both katie and Sharperoni on account of Kristen and Kris&Rob as a couple.
I think the whole Robsten thing is a scam to for mags to make more money. evryones knows the tabloids always lie!! also, ive heard a rumour flying round over here that Rob is actually gay :| apparently his agent has said that if he 'comes out' in the public eye as being gay, then he will lose all his contracts :| now there's another story that si complete and utter bull!

I have heard that rumor too that Rob is gay; however, I think if he was gay he would dress better and not grungy looking, have his hair neatly in place, etc.

yeahh thats what i thought! i mean do people seriously not have lives so they make up sick rumours? :/ put it this way: rob doesnt look gay, doesnt sound gay, doesnt walk gay. Weve never seen him with a gay guy, hes always talking about girls. plus he has some sexy lip action with kristen in these movies! so lets not believe the gay rumours :)
