Well I beg to differ! I don't think I read a single page of New Moon where I didn't think of Edward and wonder where the hell he was. Even though Stephenie (the holy) claims it was obvious the hallucinations were just hallucinations the first time I read it I was sure Edward was watching over Bella.Edward is on every page of that book. Even the empty pages with the months. Every painful breath Bella takes you think about Edward. So don't give me the crap that Rob won't do backstage because "Edward Cullen isn't the main character in the movie".
We want more Robward and less Taycob...

Heartthrob Rob Pattinson will appear (reminder: must pack earplugs) with co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner and director Chris Weitz, but lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen isn't the main character in the movie, so Pattinson won't participate in any backstage interviews. Summit is screening Twilight for the fans with cast members on hand. Summit is scheduled to film the third installment of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, from August 17 through October 31 in Vancouver with David Slade (30 Days of Night) directing Melissa Rosenberg's screenplay.

Well i agree and disagree...i read every page of New Moon, with the anticpation of Edwards return on every page...so yes he was constantly on my mind. But i see why they're doing this...Jacob needs his time to shine...as there won't be enough..for the lack of a better word, believability in the love triangle that follows...Yes we all know that there is no competition...but every element adds to the strength of the story...and the dynamics to follow in Eclipse.
I totally agree 1000%. It took spunk to say that Eddie isn't a major character in the movie but maybe they did not anticipate that we(fans) shall take offense. Well if he isn't a major part of the story then I might think about not seeing it! Lol as a form of revolt. Naaahhh I wouldn't do that to ROBERT my Robert. Come on who really want to listen to how Jacob bulked up...that's soooo old news. And I have not seen one single interesting interview that Jacob had. The statement is all wrong although I understand what they are trying to say. I still agree with Gozde. True that Jacob's character needs to be established but in my opinion there never was a love triangle. Bella never developed strong feelings for Jacob for there to be one. His character is an important support to build up the rest of the love story between the two protagonist but he was never written to be more important or as important as Edward. Hence, there was no basis on the statement that Edward is not a main character in NM.

And I must admit I am a bit tired of everyone saying it's Jacobs book, it's like we haven't read the same book. If we go with that logic we could call Twilight Edward's book and no one did that haha.

nd the thing is we see less Edward in NM but still his part isn't small. Voltera is bloody epic, for a lot of people that is their favourite part. Also they added more Edward and Rob had a lot work to do filming this movie.
I understand that they need to promote Taylor, but it just doesn't make sense to me for them to try and manufacture the same Kristen/Rob connection by pushig Rob out. It's like with that hugly J/B book cover. It's too much and it's not how their relationship is in NM. It can't even be used for Eclipse becase she is from start to finish with Edward.
Also Rob is the biggest star of the saga, he is, that is a fact. So him being there and not beining intervewed isn't very logical to me.
I think the author of that article is just repeating what he heard, how Edward is less in the movie this time and no interview part is just totally unrealistic. I don't believe it to be honest.

Who's stupid idea is this? Does that mean Rob really won't be doing any interviews for NM? It's not like his part is going to get any bigger. It doesn't even make sense, in Twilight Victoria, Laurent, & really, all the other Cullens aren't major characters, but you saw tons of interviews with them. Maybe Rob is just too tired to do interviews?
I think Rob will be very happy he doesn't have to do any backstage interviews. I think the key word here is "backstage". Don't they do a question and answer panel at Comic Con? I think they mean he just won't be doing the barrage of media interviews. You know the ones that ask him the same questions over and over again. I'm sure closer to the movie opening he'll do those interviews. It's highly unlikely he wouldn't be doing any New Moon promotion. It's great that he's doing Comic Con at all with the schedule he's had lately.

But he might do interviews in other outlets (like Vanity fair). So he will end up doing some promotion for NM at one point I'm sure.
I just hope that I'm right about him doing other promo events, because this "desperate" attempt at promoting TL could backfire if not. It would be sad for everyone involved since they seem to like eachother.
Don't blame it on Rob, Marna. He's been gamely putting up with every half-assed thing they asked him to do. Summit probably doesn't want to wear out their prize thoroughbred before he's run all the races they've set up for him. He'll be dropped into ComicCon just long enough to feed the frenzy and then whisked away to safety.
I'm sure they hope that Taylor can effectively promote NM on talk shows, in interviews etc. They're hoping to develop another star who can pull paying customers into the box office. It remains to be seen if he has enough personality to carry it off.
For all the criticism of Catherine Hardwicke, she's a wizard at casting. Part of Edward's mystique is the sense that there are layers and layers of experience and emotions and intellect to explore, enough to keep Bella entranced for eternity. And as young as he is, Rob projects those qualities. He's multi-talented, introspective, very smart and displays a lot of different facets in his personality.
Jacob doesn't have that depth. What you see is what you get, and Taylor fits the bill. Whether anyone who's not already a fan will be intrigued enough by him to buy a ticket remains to be seen.

That was the impression I had too!! Right up until Bella jumped off the cliff, I was convinced Edward would show up to stop her.
Regarding Robward not being a "main character" in New Moon, whoever said that is an asshat and I imagine they already regret it.
I suspect Rob's schedule (or personal preference?) didn't allow for a heavy interview schedule at this time (saving him for later), so voila, the announcement.
BUT it will be very interesting to see how Rob's portion of the PR run-up to New Moon's release will play out compared with last year.
I'm guessing less "scream-fest" appearances for him. I bet he has a lot more say this year in terms of what types of interviews/events/venues he prefers. As it should be. He's certainly earned it.

I agree Gozde, the entire saga is centered arond Edward, and of course Bella....Jacob has a larger speaking role in this movie, but that's about it. You said it perfectly about Edward being there, even on the blank pages. Every heartbreakingly blank page.
But I also agree that he doesn't need overexposure either...they need to find a nice balance....

I think that Summit or whoever is handling the promo needs to wake up and smell the roses. Rob is there big ticket seller and they know that, don't worry girls they will use him in other ways. Yes I agree he needs down time and I imagine he would be relieved to get out of the back stage interviews "same old same old" questions. My question is to Stephanie Meyers, "how high did the percentage of books sales rise after the movie came out?"

Amen!! Even though he was physically absent for part of the book and even though Jacob was a presence during that time, Edward was uppermost in my mind constantly and I couldn't wait for a reunion between him and Bella. Jacob was just a sideline as far as I'm concerned.

I must admit out of all the Books New Moon for me was the dullest.I think they are trying to get some of the other actors into the spotlight, I can't help but think there would be a little jealousy amongst the other actors about all the attention Rob is Getting.

I agree with Serap. I thought about Edward every moment. On the other hand Jacob is a part of this saga as well and because it was written his story has to be told.
New Moon was also drab in places but I also identified with Bella many times and it enriched the story for me. Yes, I was one of many waiting for Edward on every page. When he did return, the telephone call, it was quite a surprise for me. I did not expect him to return in that manner, therefore it made NM more enjoyable.
I believe by putting Taylor/Jacob out there in the media It will help to define the triangle a bit more.
I do think that Robert needs a break. If only for a milla second, poor guy. Plus, overexposure is looming.

Of course Edward is the main character, even when he is NOT mentioned by name in NM the book, his presence is there, he IS a main character but I also do get what the guy who wrote this is saying. Rob's ROLE in the movie is lesser than in Twilight, but that doesn't make him NOT a main character. That is flat out wrong. Why would they make Edward as apparition to Bella as oppose to the book where Bella hears his voice in her head instead? Of course he is a main character, his presence is there at all times!
I am however not surprised to see the possibility to have Taylor doing more promotion than Rob this time. As much as I would prefer Rob there the poor guy could use a BREAK for a change! I so totally agree with the post and disagree with the article. Edward is everywhere in NM, in Bella's thoughts and heart and in her every actions. And he is also always there in the readers' thoughts and expectations to see him back. No doubt he'll be a constant presence in the viewers' hearts too. I too thought at the beginning of NM that somehow Edward was watching over Bella before I got for sure it was just halucinations.
Oh well they won't be able to keep this train of thoughts and actions for long anyway. Can you imagine only Taylor and Kristen promoting the movie most of the time? The media will be asking for RP soon enough since they do know who their readers want, they won't be satisfied to get only smug boy interviews (though I admit he's really comfortable during interviews and very good at it) and ask over and over again about his bulking up for the role. But seriously, comic con was THE place to get Robward interviews! Gah! I've read through all the comments and I too think that Rob - if not having the "lead" in this movie - is certainly the drawcard for the box office smash that it will surely be, and catalyst for Summit to reap in the $$'s and they surely know it! I think Rob is happy to take a bit of a "back seat" in promoting this movie, and he intimated himself in an earlier interview that he likes NM because he's playing a lesser role than in Twilight and indeed he other 2 of the saga. I too think that it is his choice, and probably on advice of his management, to let the other stars be at the forefront especially at an event like Comicon. He'll be in demand all right and hopefully will do interviews on the major TV talk shows.

I too don't see NM as Jacob's book at all. Sure he's there more than in twilight. But I think when people walk out of the theather, the main part they'll remember will be the Volterra moments, since it'll be emotional, intriguing, suspenseful, epic and where the most 'action' takes place. So I don't think the book is about Jacob when people are waiting all along for edward to be back and when the most memorable moment in it is about vampires and edward.
Oh and I'll get shot for saying that but I want a lot of RP interviews not only because he plays THE main character of the saga imo and because to me the more RP the better but also it's his job. Filming AND promoting. I know a lot of actors don't like promotion but they have to do it anyway, just like I have to do some things I don't like in my job. Being picky, selecting interviews, letting other actors do the bad part of the job, claiming to need some down time or whatever would be like being a diva in my opinion. I'm sure Robert's not like that at all and he'll do whatever he has to do for his movie, like it or not, and I wouldnt want it any other way. Now if the screaming could stop... He is at an crucial moment in his carreer. And it's HIS choice to decide whether he wants to get some time for himself or strike while the iron is hot by making the most of his current fame to boost and launch his carreer. It seems he has decided to establish his carreer (which I'm happy) and I'm sure he does know what it implies in terms of tiredness, of lack of down time and privacy and of promotion. He's a big boy, he does know what he's doing and I won't put down his decisions by doubting them and wishing for him something else. Not that it'd matter what I think or wish though LOL...

Cindeloo- Thank you so much for saying something nice about Taycob! I really, really loooove Robward, but why to bash Taycob? How can anyone say his personality has not depth? Ladies, he's only 17! How many 17 year old boys (I say boys) have such a great character as Taylor has? When I remember my school time, all the boys at this age have been nothing but stupid.
As I said, I love Rob, but I also like Taylor. He's a nice guy (at least accept him for loving the books and his devotion) and I don't think, that the decission, who will do most of the interviews is up to him!

see that's what I mean when I said backlash... Taylor has probably nothing to do with this interview schedule, but he might be more criticized because people want to see Rob. It's quite sad and not what the aim is I'm sure.
About Taylor: But they really need to make him stop talking about muscles, he's 17 OK, but I'm sure that he could say some more interesting things ;_; He could have a fresh perspective on the storyline (I'm not saying we sould agree with him, but we are not 17years old boys).

I just can't understand why anyone can say that Edward wouldn't be one of the main characters in New Moon. Have they even read the book?! Edward might not - physically - be in the middle part, but there are so many (important!) scenes in the beginning and especially in the last part with him! Summit is obviously trying to make Tycob the new star (another cash cow...) and that's such a stupid mistake. If they don't realize that Robward actually was the main reason for the huge success of Twilight, they will totally fail New Moon. They already changed important parts e.g. there actually wasn't already a "love triangle" in the book and during NM Bella didn't feel anything but friendship toward Jacob... her feelings where all about Edward, her loss and learning to live again. Why couldn't the producers leave it like that? All the other stuff comes soon enough with Eclipse and that would have been the movie where the "love triangle" fits. But no, Summit obviously knows better than the fans... That's so sad because the book NM is just great and it really could have been the best of all 4 movies.
I believe tere is a difference between markteeing and the actual content for some movies.
Take twilight for example: they tried to market it as action movie for boys too in the trailer and underlined the fight even if it was just 5 min at the end of the movie. If they had been honest, they would have labelled it as romance or something like that LOL
This silly promotion of the non-existing "love triangle" doesn't mean that they really changed the content of NM, just that they try to sell it that way.

I am one of those people who don't even really believe in it at all, Bella made her choice very clear in the 1st book, and she doesn't ever waver.
Jacob tries and tries to convince Bella, and at one point, Bella realises that she would have tried something with him if she had not met Edward before, but she did! The fact that she is tempted by his warm big body is called comfort and even lust, not love LOL.

I can't deny that I'm disappointed that Rob won't be giving interviews but as long as there is the possibility that he WILL give interviews later on in the year - hopefully on chat show, radio shows - more in depth stuff then that will satisfy me. I love him - can't get enough of him but yes the poor lad needs a break and reluctant as I am to admit it I suppose Jacob/Talor's viewpoint is part of this particular story whether we like it or not.

I do wonder how Kristin will fare doing joint interviews with Taylor rather than Rob for this years promotional stuff. She seemed to really rely on Rob's presence in the interviews I watched with the two of them together last year and was looking at Rob for support whenever she stumbled which was really sweet. But surely Rob will have to do some stuff as he IS A MAJOR CHARACTER in my opinion anyway. We'll just have to wait and see.

Oh yeah...Ben Barnes is pretty hot alright, but probably considered to be a bit too mature (born 1981) to play Jacob...although Emilie de Ravin is 28 playing a 19 y/o but she does look very young and almost childlike.
Robward is definitely a main character in New Moon. Just cuz you don't read his name over and over or his thought over and over, he is there! I wonder if they are just saying this so the fans are super crazy or for a surprise. Cuz they have said that there are surprises for the fans at comic-con. maybe this is one of them. say that he won't be backstage but then he really is. i don't think that they will really let him be on the stage answering questions then shoo him off and not let him meet and greet with fans. i hope this is just a lie. but i am not going to comic-cons o i guess it doesn't matter to me.

I totally agree with you.. every single word you said is true.... in fact, in the whole NM i was dying because of Bella's pain...all about her life was about Edward so it's kinda stupid that Rob won't participate in any interviews.

Morning all - I hope it is Rob's idea not to do backstage interviews at ComiCon and is saving it all for the talk shows. As for the idea that Edward is not THE main character of New Moon, I think that is absurd. Taylor's people are trying to push him to the forefront because of his bigger role, but I can't bear to hear his interviews because he is so self-serving. Rob always had kind words when asked about Taylor/Jacob but it seems when Taylor is asked about Rob/Edward he never says anything positive
and lastly lol...I don't dislike Taylor because he is up against Rob. I cannot just like him because he is part of the franchise. I need to find something there to like and there isn't. and for the record, this is not subject for argument, this is just IMOHO.

I think this is just an excuse to give Rob a break and let some of the others shine a little. Nobody gets an interview w/o being asked questions about Rob anyway. Nobody. So, maybe Rob asked for no interviews at Comicon. He will surely be doing more personal appearances to plug NM right before its release. I would imagine anyway.
But I wanted to add a cute note. My 2-year-old grandson (yes, I am a grandmother....and?) says the cutest thing whenever he sees any picture of Rob. He says, "look, there's Meme's Robert!" Ahh, how wise the children are.....

There isn't a page in that book where I don't imagine or think about Edward!
All of Bella's actions are motivated by Edward,even though he is not physically present, he is still the driving force behind what takes place in the book!!!!!!
Plus 2 of the biggest events in the book take place with Edward, first his leaving and then his rescue, so tell me again he is not a major player in this book!!!! Maybe not page for page but for pivotal plot twists he and Bella are the main characters.
No offense to Jacob fans but to me as an Edward fan Jacob is a 300 page filler, he is someone for Bella to play with until Edward comes back, and I only say this because I'm an Edward fan.

Totally agree Goz, I actually thought the same thing as you, even up to the cliff dive, when she could see him in the water, I said, oh there he goes, now he'll save her. Bella's heartbreak and longing for him was on every page. Jake just helped her keep her mind off it a bit. I liked Jake in this book, he was sweet. found him a jerk in Eclipse. Bella never had a love triangle-even Kristin said that- it was always Edward. She just thougth if she couldn't be happy she might try to make her FRIEND happy and be with him, in spite of her undying love for Edward. Sigh. I actually can read the middle of NM now, because I wait for each bit about Bella's longing to hear him. Edward IS the main character. Edward and Bella, always. And Taylor is adorable (even a bit hot) so no hating on him here. :)

Oh, Honey, I have just recently come all the way out of my closet. I lived in shame for a long while. My coworkers tell me it is child porn for me to look at him. But I now embrace my Robsession totally and publically. Friday I was thumbing through the latest People and there was no real mention of Rob at all. I told everyone there that millions of trees died for no reason and that it was totally a waste of paper if Rob is not in it.
But on a serious note, I hope Summit, Rob and all his handlers realize that the less we see of him, the more the frenzy grows. Maybe it is just an excuse for him to be able to duck out and chill for a couple weeks of R&R till he begins filming NM. You know, escape the screams for a bit. But if he does not make some really quality personal appearances, the frenzy will grow more out of control when he is seen. The need to keep the masses fed.
Oops, I meant, before he begins filming Eclipse.

I don't feel shame adoring RP at all!. I know plenty of women at my work who love him as I do! It's not a sex thing...it's more of an attraction to a young man's talents and his down to earth approach to fame and life.
My family knows I adore the kid. My daughter an adult, btw, does NOT care for him at all. She thinks he is Not handsome...I told her..I protest!...plus his character and talents are what matter to me to me the most. Considering most young HW actors/ress are a mess w drugs...Rob is NOT perfect...but a breath of fresh air.

The more "dignified" settings of those talk shows are better for him, I think, b/c they are a more controlled environment, security-wise, and it also would more represent him as a serious actor. I think Hollywood is starting to take notice of him. So, in the end, our adoration will be a very good thing for him, career-wise. He is beyond the mall circuit now. The entire franchise is, I believe. But Rob is the biggest star of that cast. The increased security, etc, has to be more for his benefit than any of the others. It is all b/c we, the Robsessed, recognize the true star quality that he possesses. Plus......he is SO HOT!

Yeh WanabRPsmom, I should frame it in that way and try and hide the lust ha ha but I was caught a couple of times salivating over some pictures of him on this blog. I did broach how Robilicious he is with my girls a couple of times (age 19 and 21) and one thinks he's "too pretty" and the other is "team Jacob" - talk about being at odds! With ff stories, I've even gone to the lengths of copying and pasting into a Word doc and changing all the names so that it doesn't appear that I'm reading Twilight ff - how crazy is that?!

Obviously Edward permeates every pore of that book, if books can have pores. He is omnipresent. As much as Steph Meyer tried to write the story of Bella, Bella revolves around Edward to the point of obsession, so of course Edward becomes the central figure to the series. Besides, Edward is probably the most fascinating romantic figure written since Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. I cannot WAIT for SM to finish Midnight Sun!

I do Love Hugh Jackman, Robert Redford, BradPitt in the looks department. In the ACTING talent..there are a FEW that I would really go to the MOVIES instead of waiting for the dvd release.
Now with Rob...he is special..I'll buy the cover mags..see the movies ,,buy the dvd's...blog... see the interviews ahhh...EVERYTHING!! LOL! To add, I found out about him...NOT through the Twi hype..but by accident only this past March!
So I've been thinking about this some more, & I think the no interviews thing is probably coming from Rob or his people. At the MTV movie awards, he also "declined" to walk the red carpet (where the interviews were happening), so I think either he's just too tired, or he really doesn't think he's a main character, or he is being held back for fear of overexposure. Either way though, I still think saying he is not a main character is just stupid.

@ maha: I was only joking, no offence meant. I know it was a rhetorical question, I just couldn't resist because almost everybody was so overexcited about "Edward not being the main character". Shouldn't be taken too serious, they just have to give one explanation or other, why Rob doesn't give any backstage interviews. He has every right not to, and I'm pretty sure we'll soon enough have other interviews with him (preferably he won't have to talk about chemistry with KStew, vampires or his hair).
As for those complaining about the script of Twilight: It's never easy to adapt a book, and you always have to leave out a lot of scenes and even characters. If I may quote from the site screenwriting.info:
"The average feature screenplay, traditionally, is between 95 and 125 pages long. In Hollywood these days scripts generally don't run longer than 114 pages."
114 pages in Courier 12 pitch, that's not a lot, and you have to make choices the fans of the book won't like. Happens all the time when a book is adapted - read Linda Seger's book The Art of Adaptation: Turning Fact and Fiction into Film if you want to know more about this.
You know I can understand his reluctance to be interviewed if he is fearing overexposure. However in view of the recent negative press he seems to have received 'setting the record sraight' so to speak through a few interviews would do him no harm and reiterate his charming, quirky essentially kind gentlemanly personality..I love him to bits but he just doesn't seem to be helping himself at the moment but fair play to him if that's the way he wants to do things. I'll support him whatever. He's a joy to watch and a joy to listen to.
If he really does avoid the backstage interviews, I still would guess that it is b/c he has been up to his ears in screaming, grabbing, frenzy and is due some rest from it. The Eclipse site will probably be crazy as well and he needs a bit of a rest. Then I hope he will come back and do some good, mature, healthy interviews. Maybe "set the record straight" and all that. I mean, as soon as they complete Eclipse filming, they will begin the plugging of NM b/c it opens only about 3 weeks later. Then he will have to to RM promotions right after the NM premier, b/c it opens in Feb, isn't that right? And somewhere in there he will be filming UC, if I have my timeline correct. So, I would imagine that he is just chilling a bit from the frenzy at RM set and then Comicon panel.
But we who adore him, we shall be patient. Right?
You know, this could be Rob's idea, it's already established that he's very generous, like being so happy that his friends got something from those two songs in Twilight that he sang. He does like Taylor and has mentioned in interviews himself that he's not a main character in NM, he even told Chris that he didn't need to use him much because the story develops other characters.
Having said that, I also agree that there isn't one part of New Moon that Edward is not on my mind, he haunts me as much as he does Bella and after the first read through I ONLY read the parts where he's actually in the book, I am not a Jacob fan, and Jacob seriously ticks me off with all his attempts to break up Bella and Edward when in reality if Bella was for him he would have imprinted on her right?
Or it maybe because of Rob's immense popularity they feel he'll over shaddow the whole thing and the focus will turn into a RPattz love fest and not a New Moon promotion..(come to think of it, that sounds pretty much like why this is happening..Not Rob's fault, he wouldn't manouver it that way, but the press would!)

I have been open about my adoration of the young stud and his acting skills. and my husband and children are accepting, and at times even understanding.
My husband and I have never had better s*x since I develop my Twilight and Rob obsession.
The young man is drop down gorgeous and to deny this fact will only frustrate you more.
When any of my friends look down at me I just point out how things have improved at home, and that I have never felt younger and less burdened with everyday life.

I have heard him say though that he does not like a lot of down time. If he isn't working, he feels like he is wasting time. Plus, the open window for a script is so small, he has to strike while the iron is hot.
I heard that they are filming BD right after Eclipse and I know he has to do UC soon too b/c I believe it will open in 2010 as well. Bel Ami is said to open 2011 so I would assume that means he will film it later in 2010. I am reading that book right now. It will be a really good movie for Rob. Can't wait to see him doing all these different roles.

I think I'm as Robsessed as you are! I have never been obsessed over an actor before and a YOUNGER man at that. In fact I am old enough to be his Mum. My daughter who is 19 thinks it's creepy, my son who is 15 tells his girlfriends at school about my obsession - they love Rob too! My husband is getting seriously p.....d off at the amount of time I spend on my laptop! I don't care. Rob is unique ...there are plenty of other good looking ten a penny type actors out there. Rob is like something from a Pre-Raphaelite painting at times....it's hard to describe. He's just quite simply lovely and if anyone dares to criticize him I could quite cheerfully scratch their eyes out! Maybe that's a bit extreme!
I like the idea (I don't remember who said it) that he might have chosen to take a back seat to rest a bit and let Taylor shine. I'm not sure that it's going to work like that, but I am a rob fan, so I am expected to think so...

Very true. He has said he didn't work for a year after Twilight (other than promoting the movie) and he hated it. One of the reasons he came to the US was because he just wasn't getting the roles he wanted..So I do think he has chosen this path-
However; he had NO IDEA the craziness & obsessions that have transpired would happen, and I'm not sure that he would of chosen this path knowing what he knows now.
I still think he's (in my own head anyway) happy in the decisions that he's made (god I hope so, I would hate to think he's really miserable) He just wasn't prepared to be on the tips of everyone's tongue and SO BIG so fast.
I know he never expected this, and I'm really hoping he can still enjoy the amazing craft he has for creating roles-he is Perfection and I can not imagine life without him now on the big screen.
Ahem...just wanted to add this to my previous post about "child porn", (So ok, it's a touchy subject with me, because a few people around me have refered to it as if I had no right to even look at this guy!) For example..at 23 years old, I had been married for 4 years, running a household, and had a 2 year old toddler I was running after. I think a few people can relate to that. IMO the movie(s) need Robert Pattinson because he brings in the audience (yes, state what we all know). This being said and referring back to his interview with variety, it might be his way/and Summit's to respect the book and Jacob's role in it.

Taycob has a much bigger role this time and any mention of Rob takes the focus off of everyone else b/c his very persona so over shadows everyone else. So, for him to take a step back will serve many purposes. It will let the movie be a focus rather than just Rob and the other roles and actors rather than just Rob and it gives him a bit of rest from the mania for a bit while he switches gears from RM to Eclipse. He is not a machine. Well, I don't think he is. If I get the opportunity, I will certainly do a thorough exam and report back here to you all. Come on, Robbie, come to Mama :)
