off topic: Let's give some cheers and a "Happy Birthday" to Marina Gatell (Magdalena in Little Ashes) who turned 30 today. I just watched her audition, included in the extra material on the Little Ashes DVD, she was amazing.
Am I really the only one here who got it already? It came yesterday.
I liked the film and will watch it again soon (sometimes the Spanish accents - real and faked - are a bit difficult to understand and there are no English subtitles - bbobbin may want to know this, where is she, by the way?). Some scenes are extremly well played, and the interview with director Paul Morrison is very interesting. There is also a Behind the Scenes Footage on the DVD, showing the making of seven scenes. One is the street scene, when Dalí followed Lorca and Magdalena ... guess, who is goofing around at the very end of it.
It was a bit strange, though, to see those scenes in the film that I have seen here before (trailers, at the beach etc.), suddenly remembering some of Gözdes tags and some comments of others. That didn't happen when I watched How to be, from which I had seen trailers and some scenes here before I watched the DVD. I recognized the scenes, then, but didn't "hear" comments of co-Robsessors. Did I tell you that I dreamt of Gözde last night?
Javier Beltran looked very young at the audition but doesn't in the film, partly due to the styling and the clothes he wears. Rob, on the other hand, looks young, no matter what clothes he wears. All four of them did very well in showing the emotions and the vulnerability of their characters.
Akward Dalí did remind me of akward Art, though. I have to think about that a bit longer before I can say anything about it.
OMG!!! I lost my train of thought... oh, yes, thank you to whoever compiled these. LOVE the B&W. Definitely the best collection of pics I've seen over the last month. He is the total package...killing me!
The 7th one down is just SO BEAUTIFUL. That sweet smile like he's smiling for the fans....is so gorgeous. He looks so damned good.....does he ever NOT look good? He is so powerful in his different facial expressions. SO PHOTOGENIC. No wonder he was a model. He knows how to take pictures so well. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh debbo
I absolutely love him in black and white. There is nothing as perfect as that. His smile made my heart stop then flutter like a helicopter. nothing would make me happier if he was mine and i was his. I love him, and will love him forever no matter what happensé

The black and white just bring out the emotion in his expressions. He's going to break my heart to pieces in this movie.
He's so gorgeous even with the bruises and cuts.
