Good Morning all! Not sure how much I will be on today, but I just wanted to say that while I love that pic of Rob, I'm sure he's mortified it's on the cover of US Weekly.
All those magazines are the same, and not worth the read!
You know, while perusing some of the various blogs etc., looking for opinions, I've been reminded that whatever is going on, the whole moviemaking business is much more about appearances then it is about the movies themselves. While I think a lot of fans read into who rides with whom and the Summit cover up, it's likely there is some validity to it, and it's really to bad that this group of kids can't just focus on making the best movie they can and whatever their personal lives are. I mean, it's pathetic that they have to strategize simple things like who's riding together, who's leaving together, etc., all because of the media frenzy and fan reaction.
I'm R/K are grateful for their success, but when you really stop and think about it, it's pretty easy to understand why the whole group would want whatever's going on kept behind closed doors, because they've had to give up a lot of their privacy, and I'm not sure that's a fair price for money and fame.
Ok, sorry for the long winded post. I just had to voice it somewhere, lol!

Do you read voici (any similar outlet) regularily? I don't, but I'm sure it would be a good indication for the written gossip press.
I go to the "Public" website sometimes, and he has snippets quite often there.
I get the feeling he is still more a web sensation than a press sensation in France, but I might be wrong.
He wasn't mentioned that much in the cannes coverage either (from the little I saw), then again, the journalists talk about a lot of french actors nobody knows outside France ^^
Some people know who he is: the gossip followers (because gossip websites seem to follow american trends), the youger crowd probably, and the twilight fans.
If Kristen is still with Michael, it would be nice to have a pic of the two of them show up somewhere to put this to rest. I would not be surprised if we found out there was some truth to these rumors - how could she possibly resist Rob for this long??? She seems to be always staring at him and looking at him in almost every shot.
It's funny how we were all thinking the same thing, "Rob would probably be mortified if he saw himself on the cover of this mag!"
Hi everyone, I have a quiet moment so I thought I'd step out of the shadows and de-lurk. Love the blog - by far the best on the lovely RP.
I suppose it is pointless to speculate, but I'm not convinced that R n K will become an item. They're clearly great friends and good for them if they do hook up, but it seems to me their chemistry is now that of close friends who are comfortable with and understand each other rather than head-over-heels-in-lust. I've never been convinced that Kristen saw him in that way and Rob seems to be less awkward around her so I would interpret that as been less smitten and in awe and more comfortable with/fond of. Also, people keep referring to Kristen as gazing at him closely when she talks, but I've seen her do exactly that with other co-stars in other interviews (cf The Cake Eaters) so I'm not sure that is a sign of adoration! But what do I know... If they get it on and are happy then good for them... just hope his mystery leading lady is ready for similar speculation when they begin the "Remember me" shoot! (Hard job but someone's got to do it ;o)

Good lord, I feel so very sorry for Rob. Thank god he has a new role and film to keep him very, very busy. Poor guy. This part of fame really sucks. I still see zero proof that he and Kristen are any more than friends and I look forward to a quiet summer of solo Rob in NYC pics. I highly, highly doubt we'll see Kristen in NYC visiting Rob--that would be chaos.

Margot- Your completey right, we have no way of knowing if MA was dumped or if he dumped her. We don't even know if they are still together( although the evedence is starting to add up). Both Rob and Kristen are young, when you are that age your feelings can change(true at any age).Sometimes starting as friends can lead to deeper feelings later.
I feel there's nothing romantic going on between Rob and Kris but its just a sensation I've....
If something had to happen I think that would have been a while ago..
attraction, passion, feelings come out shortly especially if u spend so much time together..I think they're just friends, what makes me think is that sometimes friendship can change into love or else..so I'm not sure at the moment about them..soon will know for sure..if she'll go to NY, or she'll be with Michael or Rob with some NY model..

Alba- The thing with the photos that are available is that you can't tell the whole story from them, they are just one moment frozen.
I agree that until the facts are out there then people shouldn't speculate, but most people(present company excluded) do love gossip so it probably won't stop.

Just a side thought on the pics and video of K's mom and group Rob's with. Is it possible that they're just extending hospitality to him since he's alone here in the states without his family.

Yeah, I have seen some accounts that called Rob's attitude un-enthusiastic, even borderline douchey. Like, the way he kind of thanked his fans for his breakthrough award, but not really. I didn't see it that way, I just saw 'awkward' written all over him. But I get that people not used to his ways could have interpreted his attitude that way.
So, I'm torn: on the one hand, I'd like him to be more careful next time, but on the other hand, I don't want him all media-trained! It's a fine line...

Re: Rob at the mtv awards - I thought he did fine. I will admit, though, that my initial impression that night was that he seemed a little arrogant/cocky/sarcastic. But after watching it a second time I realized I was wrong. And then someone on here pointed out that he acted similarly at ComicCon last year - lobbing sarcastic comments in there that could be taken the wrong way - and I realized that the way he was acting was just a manifestation of his discomfort. Just being regular old 'diarrhea-of-the-mouth' Rob.

I feel really bad introducing you the video of Rob and Kristen with her mom outside their hotel the following day after the MTV awards because it clearly shows they are together and should be really given there privacy. Look it up in you tube. Focus on the side window and kristen is right there clearly saying their goodbyes before he left for New york. It is actually sad to see.

Not everyone who still isn't convinced about R/K is in denial. They perceive things differently, and if they're nonshippers, I'm sure it's easier to look at it from another perspective.
Personally, I'm leaning towards believing that somethings going on, but I can see why people who don't have a vested emotional interest in it would be unconvinced.

Unfortunately, I don't think the media circus will die down until Rob's popularity dies down. And I want him to be successful and popular, so I don't know what to wish. He is very savvy in his way, though, so I think he'll be okay.
I didn't watch the MTV awards all that closely--but I didn't think Rob was behaving too differently than normal. He looked a little tired, but he's also uncomfortable with a lot of praise, so maybe winning all those awards embarrassed him. I'm sure he would think he didn't deserve them. He's like that, right?
I didn't see anything different from either, other then nerves and being tired.
And it's nice that he's not as plastic and rehearsed as Efron & Co.
I did not see any big difference either between normal Rob and MTV Rob, so I guess it's just that he is different and those people are not used to it or simply dislike it.

I'm too old for this...ITA with your post. The whole time I was watching that awards show, I kept wondering why they sort of treated each other like the plague, never touching, barely looking at each other; yet when the other was onstage accepting awards, they were all smiles and happiness for the other (much like they seem to be when caught on camera the past 6 weeks.) It really began to seem like they were working overtime to seem very nonchalant toward each other. (K doesn't have to work too hard, she comes across that way much of the time anyway.)

I'm too old for this- Yeah that VF video someone made with the Sia "Breath Me" song is lovely. I loved it when I saw it way back in December or January sometime. I just happen to come upon it when I was looking at the behind the scenes videos for that shoot.
That photo shoot was just another piece of the puzzle. Kris just needed time to wake up and see the light. Her love for MA was true, but she never thought in a million years I bet that she was going to come upon a guy like RP. But isn't that how it works sometimes. It just comes out of the blue. Because you never know who your going meet that will sweeps you off your feet.(okay so we don't for sure yet) Just a feeling.... *wink*

Plus, their reactions to eachother at the Mtv awards were a little too intimate (Kstew when Rob made the something in his pants comment, and Rob's smile when she nearly dropped the popcorn statute). Those reactions, for me at least, indicate more than just friends. It was that, "oh god, how embarrassing.. but awwww 'you're so cute!'"

I really don't get why there would have to be a separation period from MA. Kstew is very young - MA was her first love most likely. Those rarely last so it's not so scandalous for her to move on quickly.
I can't see anything negative coming from fessing to a relationship. However, I do suppose that all of the speculation keeps them in the spotlight more than admitting to a relationship would - which just gives NM added exposure.
In that case, R and Kstew are being victimized by Summit and Rob can thank Summit, in part, for being hounded nonstop.

Monika, that interview of Emma Watson was shocking, I wasn´t expecting that type of response form her, first she says: no crush on Daniel, not on Rupert, and then asked about Robert and she jump saying "Oh yes!! he is so hot!!" hhahahaha... I wouldn´t imagine them being friends, like too close, but there is a cute video from GOF were you see a glimpse of an interviewer asking her about his looks as Cedric and he is standing by her side and gets really shy when she speaks about him. I just read that Emma interview. I knew they were friends because they hung out at one of those Bafta Awards after parties earlier this year.Yeah, someone has a big mouth.
