Robert Pattinson Should Always Wear Bright Colors

Pictures from 2008
Most we've seen some are new :)

From November 2008:

The ugly slippers , hope they rest in peace...

Why so sexy Rob?

From December:

The below picture gives you the illusion that Camilla Belle eats burgers and fries :)
(All right I'm just jealous of her skinny ass)
So it's boxer briefs then?

Thanks to Robert Pattinson Source for the pictures and Random Acts of Rob for the tip ;)

Damn how I love this man!!! I can never get tired of looking at him...thinking about him....especially when he's sporting that luvly scruff...

Who pulled the suspenders down, that's all I want to know.

Red is definitely his collar. Gozde, I can't believe she's eating burger and fries too. I guess other girls eat salads with other guys, but with RP, you better order real (junk)food! Love these pics, he look really hot!

Just read on fearnet.com a new interview with David Slade on Eclipse. Still don't know what to think about this man saying things like "the third book is from Bella's perspective (wow, that's great news) but the film will be more objective" and it is darker (? - than NM ? I don't think so) and it was hard to read "since the books are written for 15 year old girls"! WTF! (I'm glad that he decided that it is a great story after finishing it! - sarcasm)

Maybe I'm unfair, but I don't get the same positive vibe and passion from him as from Chris W. I fear, he doesn't understand.

I love Eclipse. I want to see Rob in the romantic scenes with Bella, want to see his jealousy as well as the proposal. I'm really scared this guy will mess it up :(!

Am I to hard with him?

AnnaD said...

holy hell. this dude is beautiful, no matter what he's doing.

Have to agree with the red shirt. YUM YUM. And the undone suspenders... thud. That is just... just... so mean of Rob to send my brain (well- and other parts too) in that direction.

I will say though that the pics with his briefs showing- reminds me of how much younger he is. My nephew does that. I just don't get that fashion statement, lol.

LovetheLips said...

Pet - that does sound worrying...
Eclipse is my favourite of the series...I want to see the romance too...also really looking forward to the tent scene with Edward & Jacob's discussion.

Diane - that was me...

In addition to Eclipse - David Slade:

I have not posted a link before, hope this works:

http://www.fearnet.com/news/b15816_exclusive_david_slade_talks_twilight.html

Maybe I understand it wrong, since I'm not native English speaking - but to me this is not so good news.

At least the studio plans to stay close to the book.

riddleinside said...

oh lala!!! chaud chaud chaud!!!!

I agree he definitely needs to wear more colour: RED please :)

riddleinside said...

no petZ, it's not working. What's going on?

riddleinside said...

sorry I meant Pet73 :)

riddleinside said...

ok just read showme's post! I'm getting worried now, but I kinda expected him to have this reaction.

Darker: yes, eclipse can be darker when it deals with an army of a vampire in Seattle killing people.

But for Bella Eclipse is about making a hard choice for her future in very scary difficult circumstances

Pet73 said...

Oh, link is not working. (I'm not very good at this computer stuff, sorry.) But you can try from newmoonmovie.org - page. Scroll down until "Interview with Eclipse Director David Slade" and there you have the link to fearnet.

phosphorus said...

“The third book is from Bella’s from point of view ..."

Huh? Aren't all four books more or less her point of view?

RaspberryLimeade said...

I agree strongly. Bright colors look wonderful on him.

But then again, anything looks good on him.

Pet73 said...

Phosphorus- He stated he read the "girlie" books, but how come, he doesn't know they are all from Bellas perspective?

Pet73 said...

Except the Jacob part in Breaking Dawn of course :).

riddleinside said...

Pet73

"I fear, he doesn't understand." I know where you're coming from. I've been having the same fears about him....I don't think you're too hard. There are two readings to Eclipse: 1)Facing an army of Vampire with a battle at the end (obviousely Slade's reading)with the love triangle in the background
2) reading 2: Bella in a middle of a love triangle, having to make up her mind for her future. The dilemma of losing people she loves, in the background of a major danger: an army of vampires (the fan's reading)

I think they may find a balance point. Hope the cast would help to do that.

By the way, my sister loved Hard Candy and thinks Slade is great. In the meantime my sister waited until 4weeks ago to watch Twilight since she thought as Slade does that it was something for teenagers.

I think Slade could elevate (don't know if I can say that in English) the level and make the movie less cheesy. But there's a risk of missing what the fans are waiting for.

riddleinside said...

Oh god phosphorus excellent remark!

phosphorus said...

@ Pet: The link does work if one doesn't open the comments in a new window. But to make it easier you can use HTML-tags, it's very easy, just type: (a href="insert URL here") and (/a) - you only have to use < > instead of ( ).

For example:

There's the link to the article on David Slade's (a href="http://www.fearnet.com/news/
b15816_exclusive_david_slade_talks_twilight.html")plans(/a) for "Eclipse.

Using the correct brackets < > it looks like this:

There's the link to the article on David Slade's plans for "Eclipse".

phosphorus said...

Argh, I messed it up. Sorry. It was meant to be like this:

There's the link to the article on David Slade's plans for "Eclipse.

I really like Rob in blue, especially that shade of blue. The Red is ok, but it's not my favorite colour on him. I hadn't seen these photos before and hey, I love seeing a man in slippers..just my thing..I'd love to see him wearing a pair of Crocs..but I guess that's again, just me..;)

Pet73 said...

Thank you phosphorus! Hope I get it correct next time (maybe ask my dear BF for help - he's good on computer stuff but not on Rob stuff :)).

Pet73 said...

Riddle- Don't know the previous work of DS, but for me it's a book about emotions, not battles.

riddleinside said...

ok I read the whole interview and think there's no need to panic (yet :p) visually speaking it would be interesting to see how he's going to make it dark and scary (plus I'm sure Rob is happy about that :). For our favourite E and B moments it's the script that matters. If the scene when E "held" B "in hostage" with the new bed scene is not in the movie, it would be because of the script not the director. He did say: "we're going to how Bella makes up her mind between the two", so he gets the great lines. we'll see about the rest. But after what we know about Chris work I think there's a pressure on Slade.

Anonymous said...

phosphorus- I don't like this director, I really hated "30 Days Of Night" and he seriously worries me. The Atmosphere was fine in it, but the story and gore almost had me tossing my cookies. If I want to toss my cookies I'll eat some bad chicken, I'd feel better then allowing this idiot to force my barfing on me. He had no respect at all for the first film, he dissed it totally in print. Then his comment now saying it was written for 15 year old girls just proves to me that his respect hasn't grown one iota.

Be afraid..be very afraid..

riddleinside said...

Pet73

"it's a book about emotions, not battles" I'm sure there's hope for balance :) as you said Edward feeling that jealousy and trying to control it is a very important point, because when some claims Edward is a character that doesn't change, Eclipse definitely shows that Edward does change because he's learning patience, learning to deal with these emotions and learning to control his posessive side. But I'm sure Rob would want to work on that. I'm sure the cast can play in the balance.

Pet73 said...

But although most of the cast did fine in Twilight, and the script writer was the same, CH managed to mangle some of the most important scenes. This can also happen with DS :(.

phosphorus said...

@ Pet: This HTML-tag is very easy, believe me, I'm sure you can do it (there's a short explanation in German).

@ riddleinside: That's what I thought - I just wondered why he said the book is from Bella's point of view.

@ Linda_Bluecanoe: I don't know Slade's work and haven't seen any of his films.

riddleinside said...

@Lynda
I understand your reaction but really if we think about it just for a minute, Twilight is not the first book that a man would pick up. David Salde is obviousely not the targeted reader and that's why he's saying that. Im sure Rob would have never picked up Twilight from the shelves. He went for it because he wanted to work with the people involved with Twilight. I think we should not hold this statement against Slade, he's being honest and I think it's good. Now he can bring something to the movie. Don't forget that he's not the only one in the story: the cast and the script have their role too. Twilight fans should learn from Rob's casting experience that there's no need to bring the pitchfork before anything had started.

riddleinside said...

Pet73

yes, I gotta say you've got a point there. Let's hope for the best.I feel very guilty but god I want to see Edward letting Bella get "carried away" ;) I will be very pissed off if these parts are missing, although deep inside I feel it's not a sensible reaction. But is there any sensible reaction when it comes to Twilight? no....

Riddle, thanks for your posts in this thread...I've been worried about Slade "ruining" the relationship aspects of Eclipse, since that book is arguably the most romantic of the whole set and romance doesn't seem to be this man's forte. I hope you are right about the film achieving a good balance, as long as Slade is willing to compromise a bit if necessary. I think the actors will be more willing to "fight" for the integrity of their characters and the storyline with the first two films already under their belts.

Also, all men look great in blue. It's just a fact. Rob looks better than most men just by default...not fair, but also a fact. The red is hot too, but the blue always brings out the blue in Robbie's peepers. *sigh*

riddleinside- I will wait and see, but I am still worried about this guy. I only watched "30 Days Of Night" because I really like Josh Hartnet, but he didn't save it for me.

My husband didn't read the books, but he enjoyed "Twilight", he saw it's faults but he tought it was an interesting concept and he especially liked Rob's "Edward". He didn't like Kristen's acting but enjoyed the chemisty. Now he's a man who likes Arnie, Tom Cruise and Bruce Willis movies and if he could find something in "Twilight" without even reading the books then I still question DS.

I'll hold my breath and hope for the best, I don't own a pitch fork, but a "Canadian Tire" outlet is just up the street and that can be arranged..;)

The others with the blue shirt are amazing...but the first thing I notice, is how much skinnier he looks NOW compared to then. I relly see a big difference in his face....I love the slippers...and his big toe peeping out....precious.

That one picture looks like he's climbing out of the bushes...and why is he carrying all that shit....? LOL newspaper, shirt, jacket, water....

OOps..my mistake. I checked the garage and I do own a pitch fork, it was hidden behind the axe and table saw. I have all the tools that DS likes to use..scary!
