I was just about to ask if you could please post these adorable pics from yesterday when I came here.
He looks sooo sexy (and during the last days I was pretty sure that we finally arrived at the top of hotness).

Everytime I think, 'okay, those are the best pics I've ever seen of him', lo and behold, another batch shows up. It's just not possible that one man can look this good ALL THE DAMN TIME! Okay. Obviously it's possible. But it's just wrong. And of course his abs weren't faked, just enhanced for the camera. I mean, just look at him. Even through his shirt you can see that his chest is developed, his arms obviously. No, he doesn't look like the Wolverine. He's got that long, lean, lanky body with just the right amount of musculature. And as he gets older and fills out even more, well...were simply not going to survive it, that's all.
I mean, this kid is so gorgeous he even makes the 'unibomber look' hawt as hell. And btw, he's got to stay in shape because he's making so many films back to back (six at my last count). It's in between films that actors relax and let themselves go a bit. Oh. I did not realize that Rob was on set even though he wasn't filming (at least I think that's what I just read here). If so, there is only ONE REASON why actors are on set when they're not filming and that is, to "feed" lines to other actors. In other words...
When you see two actors in the same shot, that is the 'master' shot. Then the camera cuts back and forth between each actor for their close ups. Rob is helping other actors in their close ups and he does not have to do this. Production assistants usually do it. And he especially doesn't have to do it because he is the star of this film. He is in practically every scene and the entire thing rests on his shoulders. Only the most professional and generous of actors show up to "feed" lines to their co-stars. One more reason to be completely and totally insane about him.
You know, the norm with most celebs is that the more you discover about them, the more unimpressed you are. But I'm finding the just the opposite with Rob. The more I discover, the more I am awed.

Hi Nik! Good advice, no surrender. I hadn't really planned on it anyway. I'm pretty sure most of us Robsessors have his variety-challenged wardrobe (including boxer-briefs) catalogued in a mental rolodex. The minute Rob wears something new, like a black tee or an electric blue hoodie, the PattzSignal goes off and we swarm here like bees to buzz over the latest wardrobe addition. Especially if said new wardrobe items reveal some nice arms, pecs and abs.

And just so others know what I'm talking about...Meyer was most definitely writing about Mormon theology when creating 'her' vampires; the physical states of perfection they live in and that they will be married for eternity. And I know this because I was raised a Mormon and I recognized what she was doing (and btw, I have not practiced Mormonism since I left home. If I believed in organized religion, I might have stuck with it. But I don't, so I didn't).

Nik- I just read your posts. This is incredible. With all this background information, the whole Twilight series has to be seen completely different. As I said before, I'm no believing person, so I hardly was aware of the full influence, the Mormon ideas and believes had on the whole story.
I remember one interview of Rob, saying that he is of the opinion, that Stephenie was writing what she wanted for herself. Hereupon Stephenie denied this. But now I'm pretty sure he was right. He knew it! What a clever boy!

If I give up any more 'details' from this film, Goz is gonna kick me from here to next week and then possibly right off of this board (and rightfully so).
Just know that if they don't edit it for Rob's underage Twilight crowd (and Summit's producing, so they just might), it is most definitely an explicit love scene (these are after all, 21st century college kids). And I'll give you this much..."love" is the correct word as that is what these two characters are most definitely falling into.
Because of subject matter, language and sex, this should be an R rated film. But I fear that Summit will make it a PG-13 in order to wrangle Rob's younger fans into the theatre. If so, hopefully they'll be an R rated Director's Cut on the DVD.

A script doctor is an 'uncredited' (although very well paid) writer who comes in and 'tweaks' the dialouge. I would trade my bone structure for a job like that (and I'm very vain about my bone structure and paranoid that I'll one day go through a windshield and there will go my adorable nose and perfect cheekbones. Not bragging. Looks are nothing to brag about as there is nothing in them to respect. We do not earn our looks. They're just a genetic roll of the dice that were either blessed or cursed with. Not fair).
And yes, I do realize that there have been changes made since the script was leaked online. The script I read, was literally handed to me by someone (and I have since handed it back). It was the version that Jenny Lumet 'tweaked.' Have there been more changes? Don't know. Probably as lines are changed (usually at an actor's request as he/she gets more familiar with their characters) right up to the moment of filming. As for this love scene...
The one I read was explicit Not nasty or filthy, but INTENSE. This isn't a one night stand scene. These two are falling in love. And speaking for myself. I have no problem watching explicit scenes if I KNOW that the characters are in love. Examples being; The English Patient and The Fountain. Whereas the explicit scene up against the wall in Jerry Maguire between Cruise and Kelly Preston was just plain vulgar and nasty in the extreme. Those two characters didn't love each other. Rob is one smart cookie. He figured out who Edward Cullen really was when all the other candidates came swaggering in like GQ models. Which is why he got the gig. And yes, Meyer was very much writing a Mormon fantasy about celestial marriage. She was writing about what a Mormon woman really wants, and not what she's gonna get. I don't know if Rob knows anything about Mormonism (although he's very well read, so he might), but he definitely nailed Meyer on this and naturally, she would deny it. If you asked her point blank if she based any of this on her beliefs, I believe she would deny it. Mormonism is very controversial and I would think that Little-Brown would want her to keep mum so as not to hurt sales.
And Show...
I think as long as Rob is making a film for Summit and they think there's even one teenage girl left that they can lure into the theatre, they're going to keep him PG-13 films. But other studios won't. And as he gets older, so are these little girls. Don't worry love. Me thinks as the years unfold, were going to see PLENTY of Mr. Pattinson is very daring and provocative roles.

Yes, I understand Europe's more mature additudes when it comes to nudity and sexuality. I share them.
Which is one of the reasons I have always felt more European than I do American, even though I was born and raised here (although perhaps spending those early days of childhood in the care of my European born grandmother, might have left some influence on me. I even eat European style and I always have. Weird.)
Don't get me wrong. I love my country, but I must be honest and say that were still an immature, puritanical, petulant teenager of a country who has yet to grow up. I do believe however that one day, we will. I have hope (and last year's Presidential election was a very large step in that direction).

The lovely and very Scottish, Ewan MacGregor (who has never had a problem flasing his 'peen' on camera...bless his little heart), was making a sex thriller in NY with Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams a few years ago (it was a total dud of a movie. disappeared in a week). It was assumed because of the subject matter and Ewan's proclivity for nudity, that the 'peen' might make another appearance in this film. But he said in an interview...
"There are no penises in America and therefore, you cannot put them in the movies. In Europe we've got 'em all over the place and this is why they keep showing up in our films." (that's not a direct quote, but close enough). Wasn't that hysterical? And he was correct. In America you catch sight of a 'peen' or tit and OH MY GOD!!! To quote Rob...

Just read an article in Teen Vogue. Yes, in there NO doubt the kid is very SMART. Ambitious and HARD working. He said he wants to have his own production company in TEN years.
He is going to absorb everything he can in the movie business and take roles as much as his TALENT can go. Rob has a very bright future, and as long as LUCK stays with him along the way...it's smooth sailing for him..imo.

I'm always blown away by the compliments around here because I just assume -because of my insecurities- that for the most part, I am just annoying the hell out of people. And I KNOW I do annoy some around here. They just haven't stepped forward to say so...yet (ducking under table as she types).

And yessiree...He may downplay it, but that boy is brilliant and I think, quite ambitious. I don't think he wants to spend a career just being a gun for hire by the studios. He's too intelligent, talented and creative to settle for most of what Hollywood has to offer. There is a very ORIGINIAL, creative mind at work here. No, he wants to make (write, produce and maybe even direct) his own films one day. He wants to be a filmmaker and I do believe he will have his own production company one day; making films AND making music. He's gonna 'do it all' and control his own artistic destiny.
What do you think Cannes was all about? He wasn't just there for a photo shoot. Summit (which is probably where he'll make his production deal) sent him there to learn how to "do business." He was sitting in on meetings selling Summit to investors. If it had just been a photo op, they'd have sent Kristen along too. But she's the last person Summit would want in a business meeting.
I like her heaps, but I don't think she has figured something out that Rob has. They're jobs are twofold;
One. Stand in front of a camera and give a performance.
Two. Now go sell your performance to the public. Put butts in seats and DO IT WITH A SMILE ON YOUR FACE.
Rob's figured this out. Kristen? Not so sure. I think she still thinks this is all about herself and her 'artistic integrity.' That's all fine and good, but if after a few years (like when Twilight wraps) and IF her future films failure at the box office (in part because she may have alienated the audience with her little 'tude'), she'll end up on cable television before she's thirty. And I don't care how good an actress she is (and for the record, I think she's quite good and going to get better). But if she wants a major film career, she's gonna have to learn to 'play ball.' But she's still very young with some time to 'learn.'

Nik, I agree with you but don't when it comes to Kristen's acting abilities. My impression is that they are limited to certain roles. Some scenes in Twilight she did very well (e.g. her face in the restaurant when Edward tells Bella he can't stay away from her any longer). But in others she failed because her body language isn't right at all, therefore not good. She doesn't react like a girl in love would autmatically do. CH should have seen this and correct her but missed out on it.
P.S. I like your comments and don't think they're too long. Other's have written shorter comments that were very boring, yours aren't at all.
P.P.S. To be a good liar you need a good memory... Remember the questions I once suggested for an interview with Rob? One was that he is known for making things up in interviews and if he finds it hard to remember what he said during interviews. I'm pretty sure his memory is rather good.
And there is another thing I've learned: If you want to keep your real secrets give people the impression, you keep none because you seem to be very open.
