Who's that cute blond surfer-dude kid on TMZ? He introduced the segment about this video on their show last night (they showed a lot more of the actual video of Rob), and he said that Rob was joking with the camera guy, but they couldn't quite tell if he was REALLY joking because he kept
"charging the camera and hitting the camera." !!
Rob walked right up in the photog's face like he was confronting him, and the guy said, "What?" Rob replied, "What are you saying 'what' for?" and started laughing. The guy was saying "I'm just trying to get a photo of you" (idiot pap) and Rob said, "Go away." But he was laughing the whole time. Later they show him saying, "But you keep doing it." So he walks right up into the camera again, and the guy says, "You're too close." Rob replies, "You think this is too close?" and he starts laughing even more (I can practically HEAR Rob thinking, 'Are you seriously complaining about me invading your personal space right now???') Then Rob says, "Stop bumping into people" after he jostles the camera guy again. I was having such a Monty Python moment by then! GO ROB! Giving those idiot paps a taste of their own medicine.
It's a good thing Rob's a jovial drunk or that guy would have been lying flat on the pavement.
Damn, Leann, I want to see that. Went to TMZ's site but couldn't find it. Let me know if you spot the whole thing on the internet. ET's version was 2 seconds, and there was no way to know what was really going on. I'd hoped TomStu was staying in the same hotel with him, so he wouldn't be facing these jerks alone, but maybe he was just here for a few days. Rob's already had to change hotels once. Grrrr.
Hmmm... If he's already screwing around with the paps, I wonder what the future holds.

I actually taped the segment so I've watched it several times, and yeah, this is the first time that Rob actually engages these guys in this way, that I can recall. I think the madness is starting to wear on him, but yeah, so far he's still laughing about it. Who's the lawyer dude who runs TMZ? (Why can I never remember anyone's name? LOL) He was totally shocked to hear that Rob was anything other than a perfect gentleman. Blond kid kept interjecting, "But he was really nice about it---it was in a very joking manner." He added, in reference to Hugh Grant the night before, "At least he didn't kick the guy." LOL
Oh, cool! Spunk Ransom has a different clip of it up, with French subtitles. There's actually more to it---at the end Rob basically tells the guy, he already got his picture, now leave him alone. He was polite enough about it, but geez, the boy just might snap one of these days. Hope not! *sigh*
