when I read the tag that french were supposed to be lucky, I was wondering why too. Then I though 'maybe we get an early release?' so I checked out the trailer for the release date (true, the french voices are so UGH >_<). So I guess we get it early, isn't it coming out in november in the US too?
it seems to coome out much later in other countries: it comes on the 4th of december in the spanish speaking country that was aimed by the spanish dubbing there.
LB: did you end up going to the Rob'orama (Is that how it was refered to?)?
jolilabrat - that's because you're not French, lol! sounds kind of stupid to us :)))
anna: aah, that makes more sense! and no, I didn't go to the Roborama... I'm alone in my Robsession here, and I couldn't really face the trip on my own. Life is tough :p
when do you guys think we will start seeing more NM trailers etc? I am sooo dying to see something new from this movie. And RM- I am just going to die before this comes out. THUD
Once again I don't share the same opinion as others. I think dubbing a movie is a very great thing, not everyone is fluent in English (actually I would guess only a very small minority could understand a movie in English. At least in France). And it's much better than having subtitles that make you miss some subtle actions and which imo are confusing since you hear english and read 'another language'.
I only watch my favorite movies or tv shows in English and I understand why people say it's wrong because when you're USED TO the real actors' voices it's awful to listen to them with another voice, it seems so weird. But for once, I'm not weirded out by the French voices, they're not bad, it's not like they used a girly voice for Rob's for example. Yes it happens sometimes ugh... As far as I'm concerned I'm French and, even though the English version will be my favorite (since I got to be used to the actors' real voices now) I don't find the version awful.
I find the German version quite good as well. By that I mean I could listen to it in that version (IF I could speak German lol) without being too disturbed/distracted or whatever. But the Spanish version, omg, no offense to any spanish fan here, but that is awful... JMO
Rob should never be dubbed over for sure. I watched twilight in Italian just once, the voices were too 'happy' for the characters, the feeling was completely wrong.

You know, it's worse for Kristen, her voice is so different.
"The French are so lucky"
OMG, it's out in november O_O Last time, it came out something like 2 months after the USA I think~
anna - come to England to see it! My best friend has already planned to come visit me for the occasion, all the way from Brittany :)))
(and, why exactly are the French so lucky?! Rob dubbed in French is just so wrong. Seriously ;)
luckily in my country they only dub kid's stuff ;)))))))))))))))))
what a horrible idea to put some strange voice over the original one :(
I'm from Germany and I just can't believe how much that German dubbing sucks. Big time.

Their German dubbing voices are really bad, they don't fit them at all. Hope to get to see the original.
