The celeb sites are starting to post pics of the Awards show. It amazes me that while he looks great in the photos, he looks so, so much better on film.

Twitter accounts are saying that Rob didn't go to the afterparty, either. He hopped into an SUV and got the hell out of Dodge. Wonder what that's about?
I rewound and rewatched (is that even a proper word?) and I remembered that he has said in the past that in interviews and such he is shitting his pants he gets so nervous. So that is probably what he meant. I think he seemed more relaxed, more taking it in stride than he did before. He has had a year to get adjusted to his huge fan base. But here is the thing, I hope he does not get jaded and we lose the sweet, polite, considerate-of-his-fans, shy quality we all fell in love with. The thing is, he is an actor, an entertainer, we are his audience. He must always remember that and honor us back and love us back. We know what we like and we like him and his work. He should always be grateful for us and try to please us. We make his living for him, we make his career for him. But I believe we have seen who he is inside and that won't change. His schedule and the hype have got to be exhausting and he needs to catch his breath. We LOVE you, Robbie Boy. We love your work. Looking forward so much to NM and all of your other upcoming projects.
Showme - My last one was a satirical exercise describing the current state of his over-the-top fame. The bummer is the timing of my letters. I didn't write the first until December. By this point, he was receiving a ton of letters. Earlier last year, everyone was getting responses. Now, lots of people are getting responses (personalized autographs, most of which have been authenticated as really being his - he even still addresses the envelopes sometimes), but it is much harder to get through to him. Some sites track responses and a bunch of people just got responses the first two weeks of May. It had been over 6 months that some had waited, but it still amazes me that he finds the time to still go through his mail. I think he understands the importance of connecting in this way.

Jalarag - Thanks, but sometimes I wish I could be a bit more like you. Living out loud does have some disadvantages. Things like my liking Rob aren't hard for me to broadcast because I don't really feel that it's personal. I'm one of those people, though, that you can know for a long time and never really feel like you know. What makes me tick often stays in shadow.
I guess I am a Twi-granny (yuk, sounds horrid) but I have never seen another entertainer with this IT Factor since Elvis Presley. The frenzy was around him his entire career and even 30 years since his death, his admiration lives on. I believe Rob has that IT Factor and he needs to adjust b/c he is going to have this frenzy around him for the rest of his life. That is what I believe. He just has it. And it is bigger than the Beatles. Elvis had to have body guards till he died. The Beatles did not, Paul McCartney does not have to. But Rob will need them just to get through the crowds. Sorry, Robbie, once the world met you, we loved you at first sight. And it is not a transfer from Edward to you. It is you.

but i've often thought that rob and elvis have a lot alike in personality...both totally generous and caring and smart and emotional and talented and sexy as hell....and overwhelmed by why people thought that.

No, I didn't mean that he OWES us anything. I mean the nature of his work is, he is an entertainer. His job is to entertain the public, us. Just like whatever our jobs are, we should do the best we can and respect our employers for giving us the job. So this is his career and if the public/his fans hated his work, he would be unemployed. Understand? So as we must always keep in sight that our bosses gave us our jobs by which we support ourselves, he must not forget that the nature of his job is to remember us, the fans. To always love us back, respect us and appreciate us. He acts b/c he enjoys it, I hope, and our enjoyment of his work is his reward for his hard work. True fans will objectively appreciate most all of his work. With that in mind, the stalkers, etc, are a problem and the frenzy is horrid pressure and he is only human. But if he honors his fans always, the real ones will protect him with a vengeance, physically, emotionally, verbally. That is how it works. If he will listen and read some of these sites, he will maybe find comfort in us and be able to relax a little.

Lizalou, I went back through all your comments and let me just say I soooo get where you're coming from! I sometimes go through that self-flagellation over my lifelong, ever-changing pointless obsessions. This is not the first time I have done this.
About Rob tonight: Perhaps my worry is that Rob is mostly being widely recognized for being physically beautiful at this point. More to the point, I wonder if ROB worries about that and feels like he has a lot to prove in order to be taken seriously. He sort of looks like he's carrying a weight on his shoulders right now. Again though, maybe just jet-lagged exhaustion.
And I am definitely a closet Robsessor. One bestie is a Robsessor with me, though not to this degree; a few know I'm a Twi-fan; the majority have no idea. Only here am I out and proud. :)
Now the mismatched buttons is cause for speculation about Stephanie....HAHAHAHAHA Rob really is a complete gem! Reminds me again of the Ellen show:

Mtv Bloggers Backstage
9:52: Moments after winning “Best Fight,” Robert Pattinson came backstage, gave thumbs-up to the cameras - and made a beeline right for us. Smiling and running his fingers through his hair (of course), he told us he was excited for Cam to have won “Best Fight” two years in a row. Even Rob hasn’t seen the “New Moon” trailer yet, so he was eager to watch it with the fans tonight. RPattz said he’s loving the Movie Awards, and that he’s eager to begin production Monday on an untitled drama that he’ll squeeze in between “Twilight” sequels.

Leann- I was a closet Robsessor until just recently. Once I "came out" I felt a 100 times better, The way I see it if someone doesn't like me for who I am then that is thier problem and not mine.
Though it's funny to speculate about Stephanie...a publicist would surely make sure he buttoned up correctly if she was the one who did the unbuttoning. If he came that way...she probably just thought "What's the point?"

Did anyone else notice his manager Nick? I saw him when kstew walked up for her award for best actress.
I don't doubt that he starts RM tomorrow. Poor guy, too much work will make him a dull boy. He needs to rest. But he has to do this movie, then the one with Hugh Jackman and then Eclipse soon after while promoting all of them in between. Eclipse is being released in 1 year. so they will probably film in Nov or Dec, I would imagine. He said at Cannes that he has 3 movies coming out next year. That is a lot of work for such a young guy. But he is so awesome that I can't wait to see each one. I hope he finds some time to get some TLC from his parents. Everyone needs to be able to go home and rest sometimes.
I love that he didn't go to the after-party. I want to see him stay true to himself as the guy that loves his work and cares nothing about the hype and the Hollywood scene. I hope to see him fall in love with a real girl who will make him happy out of the spotlight.

I hate it, i just did a good post and someone was posting at the same time as me so it was erased.
basically, i said that the great thing is he'll be in NY soon, surrounded by guy friends (Marcus and sam are both going to record with him there, so he'll have a great creative outlet), he'll have a terrific new acting role to really sink his teeth into (no pun intended), and be in a great, anonymous city where celebs don't get hounded as much.
Anyone know why Nikki Reed missed out tonight? Doesn't seem like the kind of thing she'd miss....

I think he is just a natural slob. Sam said that they used to fight about who was gonna clean up. I don't think he pays close attention to details like buttoning his shirt properly. Haha. It's part of his inexplicable charm.

He is a total slob, but that is part of what draws me to hm. He just reminds me of someone who needs some TLC, and I don't mean that in anyway sexually. He just needs someone to take care of him.
BTW, I did not mention how much I loved the NM trailer. How much I swooned and palpitated and all sorts of stuff, and it was all over Robward. He was just...stunning. Period. But man, I hope they fine-tune that CGI bit at the end...craptastic! I imagined the werewolves way scarier than that. Jake looked like scrappy-doo's cousin or something.

Leann- I loved the NM trailer, and I think the CGI was actually alot better then I was thinking it would be. Mostly I base this off of Twilight where they could have done so much better, but I think CW is actually doing a good job.

Love - They are both really short. In the first, Rob says he feels tough after winning the best fight award. He also says that last year's awards and this year's are polar opposites because he doesn't think anyone knew who he was last year.
In the second, he is with Stephanie and Nick and a few other people. They are just talking to him, and he is twirling his hair like mad. He looks nervous.
He is the most darling man alive, you can tell that him and Kristen are good friends,and I think thats great. He needs people around who understand him.
Love, i mean, the first one is rob outside after he won the best fight award with cam and he just says something like "i feel really tough (being a smartelleck about the fact it's a fight award) and then says he never thought he'd win a fight award and is glad for cam he got it 2 years in a row. the interviewer asks the diff betw last yr and this yr regarding twilight, and he's like "polar opposite. i dont think anyone even knew who i was last year"
basically, he smiled alot, and seemed pretty lighthearted
then the second video is of him just twirling and twirling his hair while he talks with a producer i think while his manager and publicist look on
