Kelly I hear you, I'm 46 and my 10 year old daughter is hanging off my arm, and we are both doing happy dances everytime the camera is on Rob and they win their awards. I agree that there are better actors' actresses and movies out there. But the MTV stuff is for the fans, not the critics. We voted and our votes were heard. I think they Rob, Kristen and Twilight deserve all they have won, just for having won our hearts. I think that Rob and Kristen thanking the author of the books, is great, because it shows they do truly realize why the movies are so loved and we are glad they are a part of them. Just my humble opinion.

I just thought that perhaps Kstew dropping the popcorn was a private joke between her and Rob. I can see the two of them sharing that kind of humor - poking fun at one another and not giving a damn what anyone thought.

I think it's Twilight year and it was just reflected through the MTV movie awards. i think many fans know that it wasn't the best movie among all these movies , but it shows that the fans are dedicated and love the movie so I'm fine with it, especially when i saw all of them on stage, I was moved. ok, my personal theory why rob didn't walk the red carpet (unless for some reason his limo got stuck in traffic, which happens all the time at these things, actors are always running late, but we know he left really early from the tweets, so i don't think that's what happened)...my personal theory is that he and his team and summit etc didn't want him getting asked about kristen again and again on the red carpet. i think kristen did that one little blurb about New Moon (45 secs) and then ran in and didn't do any other press...

Yeaup. I remember the comiccon well. Tonight, he was exactly like he was at comiccon with the eyerolling, sarcasm, etc... and we know that it was all fueled by discomfort.

jim carrey was doing a parody thank you speech and said he didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of his peers and 'that kid from Twilight' then he said he wished Prop 8 (the CA law banning same sex marriage) would be overturned...ie, bc he wants to marry rob.
then he acted like he was licking his lips and fantasizing about rob
it was very funny and a good political statement about Prop 8 thrown in there, which has been all over the news and the acting community is especially against.
I so wished they showed Rob's face when Adam did the Bio class skit. He most have been so embarassed. lol
Win - I think you are right. He is so nervous when in a public setting like this show. But that is part of the Robnetic attraction, isn't it?

Yvonne - I for one am glad CH isn't doing NM. Twilight was pretty embarassing in many ways. But the cast was great from top to bottom. R & K were great, but I think even the small roles were really well cast. We can thank her for that. I'm looking forward to what CW is going to do with this.

I loved the trailer. Having a bigger budget makes a difference. Even the "look" of the film was better. And I loved the Jacob to wolf morph. The fur really flew.

I just slow motioned the trailer frame by frame on the wolf phasing and they did an awesom job. You can actually see the Jacob become the wolf, as pieces and parts change throughout. I'm sure once they complete produciton they will fine tune the look of the wolf, but it is quite well done as far as CGI goes. Fur and hair is very difficult thing to reproduce by computer Graphic imagery

jal, Absolutely! CH did such an amazing job with casting. And I think some of Twilight's issues just stemmed from not having a big budget. Not her fault

RE Catherine Hardwicke: I just think her vision for Twilight was way off what it was supposed to be. She got way too caught up in location, and how things looked, and close ups, and smoldering looks, and totally forgot about the intense emotions between BxE. There were several scenes in that movie, that as a director, she should have been able to tell Rob or Kristin, that's bad, do it again, yet ... she thought it looked great. The Bio scene is a prime example, and IMO, that's bad judgment, not low budget.
I am still ... having mixed emotions about the trailer. It looks 100% better then Twilight, and Rob's acting looks better, and I love the wolf. I am just still not sold on Kristin. She does look less wooden, but ... I dunno. She still seems flat to me.
I will say that it looks like it's doing a much better job sticking to the book ... actually, I've read the script, and I know it sticks to the book better, lol.
None of my friends understand my Robsession, they all think he's sexy but say there are alot of sexy guys out there. I'm trying to show them that it so much more than him being sexy it's about the total package that is Rob.
Well, I have to say that my "sell by" date and Rob's age are not a good match. But I check on him every day and spent tonight on pins and needles hoping he would win everything. ...worrying how he would feel if he didn't.
I have never followed a celebrity ever past their current movie. But his one is so special. That's why I love this site. It makes me feel more "normal".

I vacillate between acceptance of this Robsession and disgust quite frequently. Right now i'm on the disgust side of the continuum.
Kristen may have been in the business a long time but she's still really young. When I was 19 I couldn't say boo to a goose. I know there are young stars who are fine with all this - Miley didn't seem fazed or nervous. But everyone's different and she is hardly more than a child.

Mmmmm I always get to the same conclusion, we read to much into everything he does or say. Not everything is so literal.
Lizalou - for me this is such a ridiculous thing to be doing that I have never done to this extreme in my life - even as a teenager - that I sort of block out analyzing it. But I'll be away in a week's time and the 5-6 weeks of downtime I think will be good for developing a little balanced perspective on things.

I think it's normal to fluctuate.

Lizalou - And I'm a highly educated reading trainer,consultant, teacher and English prof. I tend to develop mild obsessions with things (have all my life) that will eventually wane. To be honest, the way deal with things I think about Rob's career and everything around it...I write him letters. The difference between my letters and the ones people write for fun online is that I send them for real. I'm just starting the third in 6 months. I don't even care if he ever responds...I write him really funny letters that aren't really about much of anything. I'm not a stalker, nor do I want anything out of it. Now do you feel a bit better? You're not nearly as nuts as I seem to be.
