LovePattz on Twitter sent me the link to a special handmade Edward Cullen doll on ebay. The doll is really beautiful (although it doesn't look like Rob) and all but the bid is at $590 right now and there are 2 days to go!!! It made me wonder why the bids were so high then I saw this bit at the end of the doll pics:

As a doll collector, I can tell you there is nothing unusual (in fact, it's very common, just do a search on the word nude in the doll category on eBay & you'll see what I mean) for dolls to be sold nude. I've done it myself, & have purchased nude dolls. Either the seller wants to keep the clothes, or they are selling the clothes in another auction (you can make more money that way), or they may have bought the doll nude themselves. I don't know why they wouldn't sell the clothes in this case though, the buyer is going to have to find another "Edward" outfit somewhere. That's going to be a pain.

Yes, PE went to see "How to Be" with me last night. He stayed behind the scenes - not because he's ugly; in fact, he now appears quite beautiful to me - but because it would be a major faux-pas to invoke the T word at an event celebrating something else Rob is proud of.
As for the price of the new doll, you should have seen what someone paid for Rob's autograph across Art's butt in the head-in-the-freezer-scene. All the more amazing as the auctioneer would only accept cash!

This is the Tonner Edward that has had a repaint and looks like highlights have been added.

That doll looks so much better after the guy hand painted it than the Tonner doll does originally. I think the guy did a terrific job! The doll not painted (an improved!) sells for about $130. The Bella doll is really amazing. Would I spend that much....nope. I'm saving my pennies for the 'bid for a date' with Rob, if it should ever happen!

That doll is kind of gross, and scary looking. Whoever did that is more than a little twisted and or living life vicariously through a book. Has anyone suggested a padded cell and or a straight jacket for this person rather than making a bid?!!!!
I do have to admit... I hate the books. I read parts of each one and they were well... STUPID!
Creating a doll though is just one level below (or above depending upon your perception) going postal. Especially if you don't get what you want (which in this person's case is Mr. P). (There is a Stones tune in that).
Ladies I like(am obsessed with) looking at this male as he is and not as the character Edward Cullen. If I were to meet a male like Edward Cullen in looks I would ignore him (because I hate the hair. The hair looks like that really bad girl do from the 1980's where you had bangs that were teased,, formed and made into some sort of sticky, nasty, stiff leaning tower of pisa while the rest of your hair was greasy, flat and if you were not careful looked like rats tails).
I do realize that this dude is going to pay hell to get away from the Edward Cullen character, and he did make the decision to take the part, but there is so much more to him, and just once in awhile it is nice to see something or anything that is not related to the whole Twilight mess.
I am glad that he acted in the Little Ashes movie. As much as I have always hated Dali (his character and not his art),this is a character that anyone interested in acting would kill to play. I have not seen the movie yet but I do hope that more is posted on this site as it becomes available.
