Ok i have to say that i'm 45 and i love the Twilight books and movie....i am a mom of three grown boys. I'm also a huge Rob fan from the harry potter days, so that being said would you call me a "Twi-mom" then? I don't hang out on movie sets or Post much on any of the Twilight/Rob forums and i have never been close to Robert. I think this twi-mom name gets people up set....like its a disease or something....what do these moms do that is so terrible?
If i had the chance to go to a movie set in hopes of meeting Rob i would do it in a flash....just for the off chance to get a pic of him from a far or even a smile
Ok thats my little rant for the day...back to drooling (yes at my age i drool over Rob) sigh

anon, i didn't visit any set. I read that the vamps filming will be done soon and wondered if he would stay in vancouver before he heads to film in Italy. Although I think he will come back stateside to help promote LA. I just saw the e! online clip about the twimoms on set.
Don't get me wrong, I love the twimoms and I totally respect them. I'm just not all into everything twilight. I've realized my obsession is basically Rob. I prefer the vibe here. We can talk dirty about all thing Rob here and it's kind of our secret safe place.

Sandra, i agree with you about getting the pic or glimpse but i saw the thing on E too last night and they are always on the set waiting. Once you get the pic or autograph wouldn't you go home. It's not like you all are going to be friends and hang out. Just my thought.

Sandra (and anyone else) - I hope I didn't offend anyone! I was making a joke. Twilightmoms.com is an actual group of people, not just people who love Twilight and happen to be moms. That's the name they gave themselves. No one thinks they are crazy because of their age. Most of us on here are in the same age range. 20s to 40s. I think it's just the extremes some of them seem to go to. I'm sure they're not all like that. The ones who are at the set 24 hours a day, give their babies to people to take on the set for photos, hope the director might ask them for their input on a scene, get their 7 and 8 year old daughters to ask Rob for a "bite" wishing they could do it themselves....those people are the reason for the stereotype. I have nothing personally against them, just making a joke. They are definitely intense.
But on the other hand, it's good to be passionate about something, right?
Oh and I agree, to catch a glimpse of Rob in person would be beyond awesome. I'm not sure I'd travel to Canada to do it.

Also I'm a little concerned Rob decides to stay in the car rather than say hello to his fans. I totally understand the feeding frenzy would be risky for him and the need for bodyguards, but....still, I miss the old accessible Rob.
Anon, none of the cast got out of the cars. They simply couldn't there were WAY too many fans there. From what I hear, it was insane. Also, I think Chris Weitz is trying to make the shoot more secretive this time - it was more of Catherine's thing to let all the fans on set. Plus there were way less people trying to get on set last year than this year.
For the actors safety, they really couldn't get out.
And, Rob rolled down the window just to smile and wave at the fans, he could have drove by with the window up, but he rolled it down and smiled/waved and nicely let the fans get their shots.

I am a TwiMom by definition in that I'm over 25 (I'm 36), married and I have kids (4 of them!). I love the Twilight books and the movie and I love me some Rob Pattinson. I think there are crazy fans of all ages.
Regarding the Twilight Moms being at the set...they were invited there by E Entertainment to do an interview. Go to http://www.twilightmoms.com to see what I'm talking about. They were asked to go to do an interview. THAT is why they were there. Also, the correct story about the baby being bitten is there too, and as usual, that story got all twisted around in the media.
I'm not defending ANY crazy fan, even the TwiMom ones, but I am SURE there are enough examples of crazy fans in EACH age group to make the random sampling meaningless. Meaning, crazy doesn't go with any one group. You can be a crazy fan at any age....

I am 36, so I'll tell you exactly why I like Rob. I think he's unbelievably handsome, but so are a lot of hollywood guys. I like Rob for his personality. He's funny, he's self deprecating, he doesn't take himself seriously, he's not into "hollywood", his music is soulful and beautiful and then on top of all of that, he's fabtastically beautiful. So, basically, why do I like him? The same reason most people here like him! When you are 21, 36 years old seem pretty old. I know, I remember. But in 15 years when the next new hot thing comes along and you DEFINITELY notice him, remember this conversation.
People over 25 have sex too! (shhh...it's a secret!)
Rob is the death of me, and my career and what promising future I might have had prior to being obsessed with him...I lament...not really!
