On Friday, March 20, 2009, from 10PM until 12 midnight, Summit Home Entertainment and retailers across the country will provide TWILIGHT fans with the chance to celebrate the midnight DVD release of the film that has unanimously been described as a "full-blown pop culture phenomenon." Participating retailers will stay open late as fans line up to purchase the DVD of the epic romance at midnight parties. While there, contests, autographed merchandise raffles, giveaways, limited edition merchandise including collectable clothing and memorabilia will all be available!
In addition, TWILIGHT actors and filmmakers will be making surprise appearances at select locations throughout the country!

Gozde: I think you have a better chance of meeting Rob riding the tube back and forth in London than going to one of these parties but it might be because I don't live in US, am a bit jealous and the tube is closer to me than US :))

Well I live in NYC...and I have a feeling someone will make an appearance. I thought Rob was here, but who knows...there are so many release parties in Manhattan alone...though I have no idea where he would show up. I'm thinking Penn Plaza and Columbus Circle Borders are the most popular. But would he be taken to a Borders that will have a crap-load of fans??? That would seriously cause a frenzy. People over here would freak out if Rob surprised them. I'm not sure if he would want to be put through that. Although he better get used to it, he's gonna be a part of our lives for years and years to come.
I'm not sure...uggghhhh. I've been thinking about this non stop for days. I wanted to get my DVD from Target online but now it's sold out. I hope they aren't sold out at the actual store, come Saturday.
Does anyone actually know for sure if Rob is in New York? I have no idea how to find that out.

I do know that two BIG Youtube Twilight Vloggers are going to be at the Penn Plaza Borders. If he were going to show up somewhere, that would be a wild night!
Does anybody else think they will show up somewhere small? Maybe not a small town but a small city? I hope they give some clues as to where they will be at some point. Just thinking about is making me crazy.

I pre-ordered mine from Target. I called to confirm shipment and they told me they might not have any in the stores on the 20th. If you pre-ordered your order will be honored before ANY DVDs hit the stores. They were overwhelmed with orders.
Should be an interesting couple of days.

Yeah I highly doubt anyone will be coming to one near me. I live in Colorado :( Denver is slightly popular... But I am not driving that far away on the off chance one of them will be there. Boy will I be pissed if they are though...

I'm jealous of all you NYC and LA dwellers...I live in AL, so my chances of a Rob-spotting (or any Twilight cast member, for that matter) are slim to none.
Yeah Rob came here to Dallas for one of the mall tours and it was a really huge crowd at the Galleria mall. ABC news showed it along with that other mall stop were those girls got hurt and they had to shut down one.
So Rob or someone else could show up here again at one of DVD release parties.
On another note: I forgot to ask everyone has anyone been looking at Brothers and Sisters? The new half brother Ryan played by Luke Grimes looks a little bit like our baby RP. He looks like a younger brother but the thing is he is 3 years older than Rob. Cute though...

Ok. I just picked up my pre-ordered copy of Twilight at my local Borders, and Rob was not there to personally hand it to me... (sigh)
Before Rob's Walmart appearance I thought only minor cast members would show up at these parties...now I think it is possible Rob could go...and I think it could be in an area no one would expect!
I've heard he was going to be somewhere in Tennessee... but hey everyone's heard different stuff.
