"Jacob" annoyed the hell out of me in the books. I have a feeling that Taylor will too. He comes across, to me, as somebody who is going to try too hard to be the next heartthrob. The thing that was so great about Robert is that he didn't have to try.

I wasn't a "Jacob" fan in the beginning, but he grew on me as the series progressed. I think Taylor is really cute (in a young boy/puppy dog kinda way) and I think he's really enjoying everything Twilight is bringing him. He seems like a sweet kid. However, in my opinion, there is no contest between him and Rob. Rob is by far the hotter of the two!

This is NEVER gonna happen. The mere fact that Taylor was nearly replaced as "Jacob" means that he has a common look that's obviouisly replaceable, if not, dispensable.
Rob is indispensable. To this day, no one is remotely close to playing "Edward" as credibly as Rob has.
Looking at it objectively, I believe that the article was meant to raise the energy for "New Moon". Taylor is not nearly as hot as Rob unlike "Jacob" who was in step with "Edward" in the book. To make the movie capture the same energy as the book, the two leading men must be equally hot. Thus, the media push for Taylor. It's purely business.
The problem with Taylor is that he gives me the vibe that he might not even be circumsized yet. LMAO! Well, is he? LOL!

Everyone sure is giving this poor kid a hard time. Of course he doesn't stack up to our darling Robert - Rob is a man, and Taylor is still a teen!
He's all wide-eyed and excited, and I hope he does get just as much attention as Rob with they teeny-boppers. It would help Rob's transition from teen heartthrob to respected, mature actor.

Rob's assessment that he's only going to be in "two scenes" was a quote he made a while back, and is an exaggeration. I'm sure his presence will be quite strong in New Moon. You have the birthday scene, the breakup, the reunion, the Volturi, the discussion back home etc. Don't worry, there'll be plenty of Rob in there!
This is such BS. Just look at the 2 of them side by side in the magazine. On one side, you have a suave, handsome, charismatic, confident MAN, on the other, you have an unattractive, bulky, bland mini Hulk BOY with a huge ego. There is NO comparison b/w the 2. Rob doesn't have to flex his muscles to be gorgeous, he just stands there and smolders. I am already tired of Taylor, he annoys the hell out of me with his cocky "high school jock" attitude. Rob has the IT factor and Taylor doesn't. It's something you are born with, and no amount of pumping iron will give it to you. This magazine(tabloid is a better word) is so stupid, Rob is working out for his shirtless scene(gahhhhh) NOT becasue he is competing with Taylor. You know Rob is laughing his ass off at all this. Rob is a heartthrob for women, not just 12 year olds, and will quickly cement his role as a Hollywood leading man.
Wet Rob in the forest scene???? Gahhh.....my FAVORITE in the whole movie, after the kiss scene. He looks so manly and delicious there. He looks like Rob there, not Edward. I wanted to lick every raindrop from his face...one at a time. Slurp.
