The bobbysoxers had Sinatra, girl mods and rockers the Beatles, and Generation Y chicks 'N Sync. So who are the current crop of tweens and teens, female variety, giving their hearts, souls, and dollars to? Well, the Buzz don't lie, and no one gets more female buzz than "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson. Last week, females drove 84% of Pattinson queries, with girls 17 and under responsible for a third of all searches. But that may be about to change. The current spike in Pattinson buzz is coming as a result of his telling GQ magazine how hard it was, in the upcoming film "Little Ashes," to play a gay sex scene in which he also has a nervous breakdown. Pattinson portrays surrealist painter Salvador Dalí. Let the unisex searching begin.

When I stop to think of how many queries he must get a day... even I start to hyperventilate!
If you search any book he's ever mentioned in any interview on Amazon, it's inevitably associated with customers who have purchased something related to the Twilight saga. It's truly mind boggling.
Rob seems to have that power - like Oprah. He mentions a book or an artisit and BAM!!..instant best seller. I think it's rather cool. Rob could recommend a book on the study of watching paint dry and it'd be on the bestseller list. I'm not kidding.

I keep buyng everything about Robert for "my daughter"... and the poor silly girl keeps saying: "mom, I don´t like him, I like Zac Efron". And I say: "OOps, sorry, I keep forgeting that...". And I keep on doing the same thing.
My daughter is 12 y.o. and she is in love with Edward (her own Edward), but she thinks Robert is uggly, scary and old. Can you believe that girls. Well, she didn´t get it from me... I tell you that.
Why do the 18 and older gals get left out? I believe he's got a huge fan base with US. We account for the 2/3!
Anon: LOL!! So funny; my 14 year old loves Edward more than Rob. Oddly, she and her friends were not impressed by the GQ photos. They don't get it - yet! (fortunately).

LOL I love articles like this, because, you know for sure that Rob's more mature fans are the ones that will be seeing HTB and Little Ashes. But, it is Twilight that will bring in the old greenbacks, so, the more appreciative fans go unaccounted for ;o(
I'm part of the over-30 group that can't resist Rob... and I can't tell you how much time and money I've spent on this obsession! LOL Twilight is still in the theater here ... and all I can say is that I'm in the double-digits of times I've gone to the movie. It's a bit embarrassing...but I can't get enough!

Don't be embarrassed about having a Robsession. You are definitely in the majority. lol. And Rob has that affect on ALL aged girls/women. I'm 25 and can tell you that I'm fascinated with him and so is my mom who is 43. My little cousin ADORES him as Edward and she's 16. Every age range is infatuated with him. And believe me there is no shame in my Rob game. Just hope my beau doesn't ever find out. LMAO
I'm in Phoenix, AZ... Every week when we look at the listings, we can't believe it's still out...but I suppose we have ourselves to thank for that since we keep going.
