I'm not a huge fan of piano music though watching Rob/Edward play this piece is just stunning. Not only is it beautifully relaxing, but his face is so intent and he looks so comfortable (for a change) it's a pleasure to watch and hear as well. Ahhh.
This should have been the lullaby. Im serious. it's so beautiful!Rob is extremely talented (as we have already discovered :P) but how can anyone deny that he can play the piano very beautifully?

You know, this man is so humble in interviews that I think folks overlook how amazing and truly talented he really is. If you close your eyes while you listen it takes you completely out of this universe ... THIS cuts to the core of who Robert Pattinson REALLY is and may be the only way for anyone to embrace his heart and soul.

Poor Rob, from the DVD commentary Catherine hinted that Rob was seriously pissed he had to play someone else's tune instead of his.
For the record, i hated Carter Burwell's music and his score ruined the movie, especially the Biology scene.
Catherine should have used Rob's lullaby or at least Matt Bellamy's (from Muse) lullaby.
You DO NOT turn down a lullaby that MATT BELAMY wrote! The man is a GOD!
This was amazing. So much more should have been included on the DVD. I've always loved piano music and play it myself, but I don't have the ability to improvise. Rob's playing is beautiful.
I said it before he should put a CD out with him playing piano. It really is beautiful and magical.
Smitten- I think your totally right about this cutting to the core of who his is. The way he plays the piano shows you the depth of his heart and soul. He just poured out his inner being into every key stroke. And the girl that can truly see and feel the true essence of Rob will have him forever.
That is what I thought of when I pictured Edward in the book. Rob did a wonderful job of translating the character's feelings into music.

He's got perfect "effeminate" fingers. Hey...I don't discriminate. lol
Yeah Wowie he sticks out his lips and sometimes a little bit of his tongue to. At one of the premieres pics he stuck a little bit of his tongue out when Kristen flung her hair back and her neck went back so far it exposed a lot of her neck and he looked like he wanted to do a retake of that prom neck kiss. LOL
