If Twilight is not a great movie then why did she agree to play Bella? I guess no one forced her to accept the role in a "non-great" movie...If she has so high standards, she simply should have said no...
So far I had nothing against her, though I've never really liked her as Bella, I know Bella is so apt to being depressed and pessimistic, but Kristen's Bella was way too much sad, there was hardly a smile on her face, she seemed anything but happy even when she was together with Edward. The book's Bella has a sense of humour and has her funny moments, while Kristen's Bella is someone utterly miserable and depressed.

I have been watching this blog for awhile and I love all the clever comments. I normally don't feel the need to comment, but... What the hell is wrong with Kristen Stewart? Who the hell does she think she is?? She degrades not only herself with the comments like this (and the Oscars comment) but the rest of the cast. Considering the classy way Rob has handled all this madness she could really take a note from him. I have not liked her attitude from the very beginning and I would be more than happy if Summit would give her the out she so obviously wants. This is not an example of someone who is being "a strong person". This is someone who has no appreciation for anything. I am so sorry that her job is so "hard". There are people all over our country who would give anything to have a job as a garbage collector right now. She's spoiled and owes her fellow cast (esp. Rob) an apology.

Very curious here as to who is excited to see her new movie versus who is excited to see Rob's new movie? Personally, I have no interest in hers whatsoever. Rob has earned a fan in me through his acting & his offscreen interviews, etc. Kristen, I hate to say, is the only one in the movie with whom I would have no problem being replaced. As someone said, she never smiles & Bella has plenty of reasons to smile!
Kristen seems to be taking the Sean Penn approach to fame....she simply does not give a shit what people think of her. Albeit, she comes off as a total ass, but, you gotta give her credit for standing up for herself. I generally like Kristen too, but those comments are kind of out-of-line. Granted, she probably would not have done Twilight if she knew how big it really was, but have some appreciation for it at least. When she makes such comments, she is putting down the entire cast. It's one thing to have an opinion, but there are classier ways to express it and certain times when it's not really called for.

And it's not unusual for comments to be edited - or taken out of context. You can watch an edited interview and then watch the same interview in full - before editing - and the content can be completely different. Whatever draws attention and the way the news operates it's whatever can start friction. Just look at how much they played up Angelina and Jennifer A. Longtime lurker here. I just had to comment on this. I agree with most of you on this; the more I learn about Kristen Stewart, the more I strongly dislike her. She just comes off as classless, tactless and a snobby brat. Yes, Twilight wasn’t the greatest movie out there, but she should really see it as a vehicle that could help her get better roles. Hell, if it wasn’t for Twilight, I would have just known Kristen as “that gawky kid from Panic Room.” Lots of celebrities including Sean Penn got their big break from doing movies or tv roles some people might consider cheesy. Johnny Depp was on 21 Jump Street for Christ sakes. Maybe if the media attention and answering stupid questions about vampires are too much for her, she should consider dropping out of New Moon and Eclipse. I’m sure there are lots of actresses out there that would give anything to play Bella. And I could care less if she got replaced (I’m only seeing the movies for Rob, anyways).
I believe that it is hard work to be an actress and have to promote a movie, but we're in a time of recession. There are many people who would kill for a job, any job. When you are getting paid millions of dollars to answer silly questions, I would shut up and take it all in stride.
Kristen is really young and I guess that can be used as an excuse. However, there is no need to be rude!
On a side note, Rob and Kristen definitely make a great ON SCREEN couple. Great chemistry.

Being 18 is no excuse to make such stupid comments. Daniel Radcliffe from the Harry Potter movies is just a year older than her and you don’t hear him talking like this. He’s played Harry Potter since he was 10 or 11 years old and I’m sure he’s gotten his fair share of wizard questions. And people are always asking him if he’s dating that girl that plays Hermione. I met him in New York when he was playing in Equus on Broadway and that kid was really nice and professional. He didn’t even cop an attitude when people were calling him Harry.

You know, I really have mixed feelings about her. To some extent I can understand her bitchy attitude, but sometimes it's a bit much. For example, I can understand her annoyance in answering lame questions all the time during interviews, and I can understand her feelings about the crazy mobs of Twilight fans that actually show up to events. I can even understand her comment about the Oscars, and not wanting to go until she has a film that she is very proud of (while a bit bitchy and snobbish, it really just shows how serious she is about acting and that she has really high standards for her own work).
Anyway, I can understand all of that, but what really really bothers me is that she is so unhappy and just freaking frowning all the time. I mean, what the hell could she possibly be so unhappy about? She's already a pretty successful actress, doing what she wants to do, making decent money, and she gets to work/make out with Robert freaking Pattinson! There are millions of girls who would jump at the chance to be where she is, and would do it with a huge smile on their face, too. Lighten up, Kristen! And you know what, you can be annoyed all you want about answering dumb questions over and over again, but do it with a bit of grace and modesty like Rob does. I'm sure Rob is just as annoyed by the questions, but he answers them candidly with a smile on his face.

The interviewers more than likely prepare questions they believe the fans want to hear the answers to, while not knowing that 75 other interviewers have asked the exact same questions. Obviously Rob understands this and is all too willing to play along and answer again and again. Kristen is just awkward and bitchy in my opinion. I'll stick to being a fan of Twilight primarily because of ROB.

The thing that irritates me about KS is that she acts like being in her position (as an actor doing interviews) is such a HARDSHIP. Her attitude seems to be-- "I'm an actor, I want to be a serious actor, and I have no time for press or fans." Well, excuse me, but isn't doing press part of being a successful actor? You have to "sell" your work. And if you don't have fans, they don't buy tickets, and you don't work. So get over yourself, do the press, and be nice about fans. I'm just sayin'.

I can’t stand this girl. She is so whiny and ungrateful. Answering stupid questions and dealing with ravenous fans is what happens when you’re in a very popular movie. Every actor in a successful film goes through that. If being in Twilight is too much for her, maybe she should drop out of the rest of the movies. Then she’ll have plenty of extra time to smoke weed, hang out with her goofy boyfriend and make movies nobody gives a damn about. Wow, these new comments by her (both in Nylon magazine and the Oscar comment) have taken her serious persona to a new level. Its like this has been bottled up in side of her for months now and she just blew up in the magazine. It will be really interesting to see what she is like in interviews for New Moon and Eclipse now - is this what we have to look forward to in the future? Eek!!!! I do respect some or most of her sentiments in the magazine, but the oscar stuff is almost too hard to believe - perhaps taken out of context or misquoted? I just don't think she would diss the franchise like that, even if she felt that way privately (which is possible).

She's a bitch. Yes. But she is an honest bitch and that's hard to come by in an industry where much of what artists spew out are packaged bullshit.
Kristen, from day 1, has remained steadfast in staying true.
It's because she's so gratingly honest that when she said all those good things about Robert Pattinson, it actually meant more, because we all know it comes from someone who has zero tolerance for bullshit.
Does anyone still remember the many interviews she and Robert did when they promoted Twilight in Europe?
No. Because people have such short memories.
She was in her element of calm intelligence in Europe. And she explained in very eloquent ways to the whole world why Robert Pattinson will always be the perfect Edward. She says, because he knows the heart of the character. She didn't talk about his hair or his looks, she talked about what's in his mind and heart.

My take. It's her choice. It's her strategy. It's a decision that's tailored for her. Why people think it's arrogant to make that choice when they will not think the same way if she were a male artist is mind-boggling.

I admit she may be a bit harsh in calling this out, but they ARE bullshit questions. The bigger anomaly here is that people who have actually interacted with her in fan meetings attest to her kindness in answering questions and her warm accommodation to fans. So she may be getting stupid questions and she may know they're stupid but she still answers them kindly.

I think the problem here is that she spoke her mind in this article. And speaking your mind is never tolerated anywhere especially from a girl who's audience is marinated in the Disney culture.
Can she change? I bet she can polish her vocabulary a little. But I hope she never loses her honesty. Because admit it or not, Kristen Stewart is unique. You cannot lump her with the group of Camilla Belle and Dakota Fanning. You can't lump her with the group of Vanessa Hudgens and the Disney kids. d6sense I remember interviews with Kristen, it was really hard job for her and for Rob as well. We all know that questions were stupid and they answered politely. But she could say everything in another way

To be honest I don't see anything wrong with what she said. I mean no one acutally knows her, her boyfriend or Rob. It is personal thing, and when love is in questiong especially. There are a lot of smart, charming, beautiful guys out there but that doesn't mean that you have to fall for them. I mean love is much deeper than that.
And about stupid questions...well she is right. It was fun in the beginning when all twi madness started, but really after a while it gets really boring. I was embarrassed even to watch some of the interviews, because of the questions. Of course Rob always makes us laugh, he's just like that, it seems he does it with ease. Kristen is just different.
I think it is easy for people to dislike her becasue she seems snobish, but I just think she is awkward. And that is the reason I like her.

I have to admit that as much as I loved the movie Twilight and am looking forward to the next two installments, it doesn't totally surprise me that it made alot of money because of the books themselves.

I do not hate her and I'm not saying she didnt make a good job but she looks like bored and upset all the time sometimes she not even smile it's all what I'm trying to say is that she looks desinterested like in the movie and the hype But it's ok if she wants to be like that. It's Just that other people not the fans are getting like wrong impressions ant they just don't like her.
All I want to say is that I'm ROBsessed i've never like something so much and is not just for edward its he.
Ok, I am (or was...I don't know now) Team Robsten. But then once I read this interview, I don't know...it slightly changed my perspective upon Kstew. I mean, I don't blame her for speaking up and all (which is good she has a voice), but if she's gonna say it (no offence), she shouldn't have a sailors mouth. Looking at this interview and about the whole Oscars situation, it makes her seem totally ungrateful for Twilight itself. I think it's because she thought Twilight was gonna be an indie, underground, not so popular movie....but yet it became one of the best selling movies in America. That's how she got boosted and why she is so popular (and Rob too...). She's used to doing independent movies because quite clearly, I did not hear about her at ALL until Twilight came. Maybe that's why she's not used to all this paparazzi and crazy fans luring in on her and Rob all the time.
Anyways, not that I personally know her and I don't mean to judge her but she should be grateful for Twilight. It boosted her up to all this popularity that she and Rob are so much loved by so many people around the world. It's crazy. So at least Kstew, I love her an all but..... give some credit to Twilight!
To Songirl and Anon ~ I've been working long, long hours and have just seen your posts. I'll definitely try to dig up the interviews for you, but it may be the weekend before I have the time to post the links. They were in 2 different video interviews if I'm remembering correctly. I hope they are still on-line. At any rate, I've read your requests and will do my best to honor them.
Songirl, just read your livejournal entry. You write beautifully and have obviously researched your observations meticulously ... a rare thing to find these days on-line. I enjoyed reading your blog. I'll find those links this weekend. Hope they will help in some way.
I used to admire her strong personality and her choice to try to distance herself from the hollywood life. But now, I feel she's really lost all common sense. She could have kept her integrity without sounding so snob and ungrateful. She could really learn some class and humility from Rob. Sometimes I think my respect for her was merely a reflex of Rob's constant praises... He was so fascinated by her and said so often "how amazing she was" it might have "rubbed off" in me a little bit. But her recent comments were a very efficient reality check.
I think regardless of how she would normally talk, she is doing a interview for an article, and she has young fans, so she may consider trying to be a bit more professional and watch how she speaks!!! I am not a fan, and don't think she is a good actress, but as it is, she is the only Bella these young kids are ever going to see, so she could try and be a pleasant person. And seem grateful... all I seem to read these days are her complaints about 'psychotic fans' and 'waiting to do a good movie' before presenting at the Oscars. Wow, what a GREAT thank you to your fans! Without them you would'nt be where you are, try and remember that!!!
