Robert Pattinson Channels Artist Salvador Dalí
Twilight star Robert Pattinson can't always play a vampire heartthrob. In his next movie, Little Ashes, set in 1922 and described by Variety as an "arty Bohemian romp," the London-born actor, 22, plays Spanish surrealist painter (1904-1989) Salvador Dalí as a young man – in love with the poet Federico GarcÍa Lorca, played by Javier Beltran.
The two meet at university, with Lorca attracted to what the movie's production notes call Dalí's "bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism." Hey, beats a bite in the neck.
Little Ashes opens in late March. –

Haha! When I read "Arty Bohemian Romp" in the article I thought of Art from HTB. Geez, Rob on the brain, much? I couldn't figure out how he was going to bring some of Art's character to Dali's. That could be interesting. I wouldn't say no to Salvador in Art's too tight blue pants. Not exactly period clothing but whatever.
And yes, Mona - Rob and rampant exhibitionism sounds like a good combination to me!

I'm so jealous of people who have seen HTB. Rob's looks scrumptious in it. I love that he's a few pounds heavier. He fills out those pants nicely.
And I totally agree about the Sex Drive pictures. Some of his best, definitely. It was all about the cheekbones, sex hair and smoldering eyes. Then again, it always is with him.
