I know we posted this before but this one has really good quality video. The guy asking the questions is a moron. I love how Kristen's face and mannerisms say "What kind of a question is that you idiot?" :-)
I didn't think the interviewer asked stupid questions to Kristen. I thought he did a really good job, especially doing it in a different language. I just think Kristen needs to lighten up. She always looks so crusty, it's getting annoying. Like, have fun, smile when you answer. You won't look so awkward that way. Rob totally stumbled over his answer but he is charming while he's doing it and has a good attitude. I don't know. I like Kristen as an actress, I really do but it would be nice if she didn't look annoyed everytime she gets asked a question. There's only been 2 or 3 interviews that she hasn't seemed totally bugged in. Sorry if that's rude. Just my opinion. Hopefully as the series goes on, she'll figure everything out and become more comfortable.
On a different topic, it seems that whenever Rob is in the room, microphones tend to stop working. Must be the thought of being so close to his mouth that causes them to malfuntion. I probably would too. Time to break out the megaphone again!
I totally agree, Emily. I really do like Kristen and I respect the heck out of the fact that she isn't fake in an industry that is notorious for being fake, but really would it kill her to smile from time to time? I mean honestly, I feel that those questions were completely legitimate questions, and that almost any other actor/actress would have answered them with a lot more grace. In fact, I think Rob's question about the similarities between a teenager and a vampire was a "dumber" question, and he remained totally charming and heartfelt with his response. I don't know. I really do like her, but sometimes I just wonder what the deal is...
And LMAO about the mics... they DO tend to stop working anytime they are around Rob, don't they? Apparently he just has that effect on people AND inanimate objects.
I thought the same thing about Rob's question. Granted, he has a lot more experience answering stupid questions by now but still... He smiled and joked and just said whatever came to mind. The whole "no media training" has worked to his advantage, I think. Maybe Kristen should think about it though. Just saying...
Nothing - human or inanimate - is immune to Rob. Zippers, panties, microphones, everything. It's quite a gift he has.
Emily - It is quite a gift... one could argue that it is almost a super power of his :)
Also, I just saw your comment on the NM thread, and I must have slight OCD too, because I truly can't stand it when actors are re-casted. Ruins it for me! And I agree, I think that it is so much more important for them to capture the heart of the story than to make sure that they cast a huge, ripped 6'7" dude playing Jacob. Summit needs to figure out their priorities and decide what is essential for the movie - and that is to have a Jacob that is loveable and supportive who helps Bella through her heartache, and I think that Taylor would be able to capture that. As long as Taylor is able to show the changing relationship between Jacob and Bella, I couldn't give a rats a** if he is 6'7" and huge. Just me opinion :)
Good point, Lyla. The most important thing is that they get the story and the emotions right. It's like how people were mad that Alice wasn't 4'10" like she is supposed to be in the book. Really, are there any actresses that are that small that could have portrayed her? Sometimes movies don't exactly match the images in our head but that's why we have the books that we can read over and over again. I thought that whole article about New Moon was indeed scary, just like Goz said. I wish they would keep CH and replace the screenwriter. She's the one trying to fit Edward in where he shouldn't be. Oh well, I should stop ranting now because there's not one thing I can do about it.
Let's just pray when Rob, er I mean Edward, makes his grand re-entrance at the end of the film that he's shirtless and glorious as ever!
You're kidding, Stella! HA! I love it. Point proven. How does he do that? He totally killed the microphone at the Austin Film Festival, too.
LOL Stella! I don't remember that one. This man leaves a path of destruction in his wake. Maybe that's why he doesn't bother with expensive clothes. What's the point if your zipper is just going to be busting off all the time? I bet he and TomStu got so tired of mending their pants that they've just given up.
LMAO - Stella and Emily. Too funny about Rob killing the mics everywhere he goes and even the megaphone. It seems that Rob positively REPELS technology, and it is quite entertaining to watch. I love it in the Austin film fest videos when he keeps hitting the mic repeatedly - it seriously cracks my sh*t up every time.
Stella - I wonder about that myself. I think Rob is more amused by how she acts in interviews than anything else though. Like in this Munich video, he just laughs when she answers her questions. I think he finds it funny that she is almost incapable of not showing her bitch-face during interviews.
Hi Lynn. Good luck with the DMV - I avoid that place like the plague whenever possible. But I'm going to have to venture over there in the next couple of weeks, too. UGH.
OMG, that was hilarious, thanks Emily! It doesn't matter how many times you see that stuff, it still gives you the LOLz. Seriously, when he yells "Shut up" its a little disturbing, but SO FUNNY at the same time. And the whole Buddha story is priceless. Oh, and every time he freaks out and goes "AHHHH" while waving his hands! It is just too much! Anyway, thanks for the link :)
I was there for the "Shut up" moment, and it was hilarious. He was behind a curtain, and every time it parted even an inch, people would start screaming hysterically (and by hysterically, I literally mean hysterics, as in people were crying and carrying on - it was ridiculous). By the time he got on stage it was deafening, and he must have stood up there for at least a couple of minutes waiting for it to quiet down. Eventually he got tired of waiting, yelled "shut up", and handed the microphone to Kristin to introduce the clip. He then skipped out early to see Van Morrison... =) I think all the girls who flocked to the back of the theater at the end or the event were disappointed he was long gone.
The Munich stop was like, duh. I wouldn't expect anything substantial except for the heady feeling of seeing them personally.
Rob was gracious as usual. Kristen tries her best to contain her impatience, I think; she could be a PR problem but I can totally relate to her. She just wants to work, no frills.

Wow, dual hair-raking at 1:01. :)
Rob and KStew seem to be so in sync with each other, sometimes...

Ellie I spotted that too ;-)LOL

BBJ <3
Emily, not even the megaphone worked. I was there and you just couldn't hear the guy. I think it broke.

Emily, if I remember correctly he also killed a microphone in a GoF interview.
I remember there was a thread on the IMDb board about this, but it would be tough to find it.

I wonder if Rob ever say to Kristen, please act like you enjoy this! Don't be such a bitch always.
If he does, I bet it sounds so sexy that she's not even offended.

Emily---LOL I think that Rob might be some kind of slider...I mean we all know that the guy carries around a ton of kinetic energy all the time!
Good afternoon, lovelies! I have only see half the interview as I am about to endure the department of motor vehicles!
I just have to say that the interviewer sounds like a German version of Robin Leach and Kristen was chewing on her hand quite a bit!
Oh Lynn, the DMV...good luck. Maybe you'll run into Rob trying to pay his parking ticket.
Lyla, here's another video I found of awesome Rob quotes. A few repeats but still entertaining.

Rob yelling "Shut up!" is priceless.

Ohhhh Emily, thanks! I'm going to go check it out now :)
Ooo...new banner. Lovely. I wish Rob kept those pants from HTB. Too tight is just fine when it comes to Rob and his clothes.

I laugh so hard when he says, "I'm just a big hard tool." He is incredibly entertaining.
Unfortunately I gotta run for a while. Hope to check in later tonight. Thanks for the fun!
Bye Emily! I have to go, too. Thanks for all of the Rob giggles :)

Thanks for the inside info anon.
