Oh, that's really annoying! I'm pissed because I just updated my flairboard on facebook and half of the pictures aren't showing up. Hopefully it will work tomorrow, I'll try reposting it. Homemade cookies sound really good, I just ate a peanut butter cookie from the cafeteria here and it just isn't the same as fresh.

Who is Michael Colon? I've never heard of him before. I previously said that I didn't want them to replace Taylor, but if they do I just hope whoever they choose does a good job. The love that develops between Jacob and Bella is integral part of the story and hopefully this person can make it believeable.
Don't have a clue who this Michael is, and can't find a pic of him.
But, *IF* they are going to replace Taylor, then my vote is still on Steven Strait. Oh what an ooooozy shmex sandwich that would be between Edward, Bella, and Jacob!!

My first instincts when I saw his pic was "NO, NO, NO!" But then I tried to picture him with long hair, and I can sorta see it. Not completely but I'm trying here. I guess I just have Taylor's face burned into my brain as Jacob.

Um...This Michael guy has more of my vision of Jacob...than Taylor. I think Taylor was perfect as Jacob in Twilight...he was exactly as SM described...
But I'm having a hard time with him being sexy hot...hot enough to make Bella push Edward out of her head...even if its only a moment.
I mean...someone who can hope to stand up to Rob (OK, we all know that is impossible) and make me think, "yeah...I can see it".

Recasting Taylor isn't that huge a deal for me. I barely noticed him in Twilight. But Summit did do a lot of promotion with him as Jacob...posters, screamfests..etc.
I'm sure there are going to be a LOT of tweenies that will be totally pissed off if he isn't signed for NM.

This idea of this Michael guy as a replacement for Taylor is quite interesting.
No one will be able to match Rob in the sex appeal department (as far as I'm concerned), but this guy is definitely more appealing than Taylor. Taylor was good for pre-wolf Jacob, but I don't think he could play the Jacob that Bella would actually fall in love with.

You know, it's funny... I never really even cared about who played Jacob because I was an Edward girl from the very beginning. I was actually frustrated with Bella while reading Eclipse because I didn't respond to or understand why she would be so torn between Edward and Jacob. (Well, I understand it from a logical point of view, but not from an emotional pov).
I know we need Jacob for the storyline, but the character never appealed to me as Edward did.

Yeah, changing actors is kinda hard to deal with in movie sequels...but Jacobs character changes SO much in NM...that now is the time to sex up Jacob.
Taylor? He's cute, but its unbelievable that he could turn Bellas head for even a moment. There is too much of a 'buddy' vibe between Taylor and Kristen.

In regards to changing actors, since Taylor is barely in Twilight I don't see the issue with the transition. I mean yes a lot of fan girls will be upset if they recast, however I just don't think that Taylor is big enough physically or has enough presence on screen to carry the role of Jacob. He lacks confidence to me and I need Jacob to be this confident, fun loving, but also strong character for the role. He has to be able to stand next to Rob and not look like an idiot...Taylor looks goofy in the role to me.
It's just unbelievable that Taylor as Jacob could make Bella think "yeah...there's a possibility"

Well, I went to see Twilight (4th time in the theater) yesterday, and there were 6 other people in the theater. And it was also pushed onto one of the smaller screens. 5 times (at least)is my goal...
Rose - I've seen it 4 times and have plans to see it at least one more time at the end of the month. Wondering if it will still be in theaters by then...
I don't remember the last movie that I saw in the theater more than once! It was definitely when I was in high school (back in the dark ages)
With all the Jacob discussion, I have the absolute perfect song for them to play for when Bella is beginning to come out of her depression because of Jacob. Just listen to the words, it's PERFECT.

It does bother me a lot when they replace actors.Taylor was hired really late and I don't feel that they hired him with enough foresight to believably bring Jacob into possible sequels. I'd still like to give him a chance-But your right Dani if they are going to do it do it now since he wasn't in Twilight that much.

I was never set on Taylor as Jacob.I agree with you all who said that he's not mature enough to take on the Jacob role in NM, where everything changes for that character. And, obviously, I can't see Bella falling for him as Jacob, when she's got Edward to compare him to.
After seeing the pics of Michael Capon, I can definitely see the possibilities...he's much more of what I thought Jacob should be.
And he's very easy on the eyes.
Much easier to see him as developing into a big, tall, strong werewolf...not a wimpy one.
However, I thought Taylor did an okay job as Jacob in Twilight. It didn't involve much except smile with those ultra-white teeth.
I saw the movie in the theater for the 3rd time last night...I'm hoping for at least 2 more.

That's what I love about this blog, is that there are such talented, funny, smart ladies here.
And Trixie I hear ya. But then I justify the time by saying he's worth it because he's just so funny and sexy and original.
I just keep telling myself keep it limited the amount of time so my life doesn't get out of balance and get everything done you have to do.
I liken it to starting a relationship with a fantastic guy in the beginning and you get so into what he is interested in and you can easily lose yourself. Then you realize that might be happening and then you pull back.

Good morning ladies! I can see that dude replacing Taylor, as long as he doesn't talk the same way he did in that vid. I would like to see them keep Taylor for the first part of NM and transition to this guy after Jacob becomes a wolf. It would make the transformation more noticeable.
I think that's why I love the ocean so much it represents such majesty and it's so much bigger than you are and you realize really what life is about. The bigger picture of life and then when you have two people falling in love at the beach, I don't know for me that is really moving.
Also, I have a beach cruiser bike and there is a road by the beach where I live that looks almost like that and I've pictured Rob giving me a ride on my bike and I'm on the handlebars and I'm in a sundress and he's smiling and at the same time he is driving the bike he's singing me a song.
Many of my fantasize are more romantic than sexual, concerning him.
