Preliminary box office analysis has found that Twilight could be on its way to a spectacular $70 million opening weekend.

A teen vampire movie is doing Disney family film numbers!
As of this Friday night, the Robert Pattinson-starring movie made $33 million.
Industry insiders expect the movie to net $145-$150 million by the end of its box office run.
The virginial vampire is making obscene money!

70million in one weekend is HUGE! Congrats Summit! That is major money for such a small production company.
I bet they were hoping to make that much total when they started this...now it looks like they could get 150! That's just mindblowing.
Not to mention DVD sales. You know every single one of us will pick up the DVD.

This is not news to Summit I'm sure they knew the movie would do incredibly well based on the turnout for Robs promo events alone. This is good news.
I think Twilight has the potential to do better than 150. I hope they do a better job with New Moon.

wah, ive just got to share this with you. i just had the best night ever. my boyfriend took me out to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, and he first took me to my fav resaturant and then he took me to the movies! and guess what we saw, twilight of course (second time), and yeah.. well, im just so happy right now, and he fell in love with emmett and he's looking forward to new moon! of course i don't care.. my thoughts was faaar away.. robrobrob ;) hahah. LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW MOON!
Yay for New Moon! Poor Rob still can't cut his hair. I had to see it again today too. I just kept looking at all the delish Rob stuff here this morning and I was able to talk my boys into going. They loved it! They have amazing taste!

Does anyone else beside me feel like they're a part of it? I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm such a huge fan... I feel like part of the atmosphere.
