Alright I have been on a posting spree with goodies and I am super tired now so I am off to bed. Glad you liked the movie. Super cheesy yes but I saw it twice and still loved it. Thought that their relationship was a bit rushed, I missed SMs wordyness in the courtship, the face touching in the hallway, the questions, it was all a bit implied but I wanted to hear him say those things. And I missed the i love yous on the phone and during the sucking out the venom scene. HELLO I LOVE YOU...not hard to say.
Oh gosh these pics are terrible. I have to agree with you Goz! Dani I aggree he does look cute in a couple of them (but sure it's ROb what else do you expect) but he look pale and tired ad ya ill looking.
Rob get your ass over here to Ireland and I'll take some cute pics of ya ;-) (ETA not of your ass (if you don't want me to !!))LOL
Don't know if anyone is intersted and ye have probably seen it already but here's Kristen on The Late Show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2oigZ5gqX8 I really like him, he did his best to make her comfortable even though it was obvious she was nervous!
Saw the movie last night, and I really loved it, despite the cheese. Want to see it again VERY soon...
Rob was exactly as I thought he would be, all brooding and exuding sexfrom every pore in his glorious body (although some shots did make me giggle(. Kristen WAS Bella, to me. The two of them together made my heart pound and the skip a few beats, as well.
Hi Lynn, Ellie & Dana Found this review and though tit was interesting to see the guys point of view considering he hasn't read the book! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiXNhaoNTaQ
Saw this one last night. It was interesting that he like it, considering he 'd never read the book AND he's a guy. There's hope for a sequel yet!!! lol (especially since we ladies are going to shell all our hard-earned moola on our boy!_
Goz ~ the second time you see it, you will be in loooove - It is so much better once your prepared for cheese whiz and constipation... I had so much fun last night as apposed to Thurs night... I am so in love with the movie now -lol- still flawed but great...
Hey, Kate! Great review, I liked how there was both POVs with a reader and non-reader.
I will admit that there was some cheesiness to Twilight, but, overall the film had a lot of signature touches per Catherine Hardwicke. And, I would mos def pay again to see her directorial genius. She met all my expectations and especially with her limited budget.
Ya from what I've read a lot of people seem to think that the budget let it down big time.
I'm kinda worried about the friend I'm planning on bringing with me, she hasn't read the book and has no intentions of reading it. Wll she enjoy it do you think???
I saw the movie twice already and will most likely be seeing it for a third time again with more people before Sunday!! Anyway I LOVED IT - especially the 2nd time around because I could watch it more closely without screaming teenagers. The first showing I saw was filled with a lot of talking and the odd scream at certain parts, haha so yeah I had to see it again just to hear the dialogue. It was exactly what I thought it would be! Of course there are some things I wish were kept and not cut & a few changes that could have been made to improve it even more, but all in all it was pretty amazing!!!!! Rob was INCREDIBLE as Edward (no surprise there) and I <3 KS as Bella. Billy Burke as Charlie - yeah that man is my hero, lol.
Have to say my favorite scene had to be the hospital scene near the end (the very teary eyed moment). Rob and Kristen's acting in that scene was electric and you could feel how strong the bond is between them. Some other fav parts - Edward following her into the forest, the whole Port Angeles scene & the awesome baseball scene. And of course the crazy hot bedroom kiss scene (you know there is MORE to that scene!!) & prom - hello Gucci suit gorgeousness & that tantalizing neck kiss!! Ahhhhhh ;)
Did you girls see the numbers for the first day (including the midnight showings!) OMFG!!! - here is the link to see some figures for Friday and estimates for the weekend...
OH BTW, at both of the screenings I went to there were A LOT of men in the crowds!! Did any of you notice that at your theaters??? I saw some with girlfriends/wives but then I saw groups of young guys prob in their late teens/ early 20's which was surprising but still great!!! And the best part is that during the film, so many of them seemed to really enjoy it :)
Dani & Goz - thanks for all the postings! Blog looks fabulous!
While everyone is on the 2nd to 3rd watching I'm seeing it for the first time tomorrow morning. I'll make sure to be prepared for the cheez whiz and constipation.
Amy---I went to a midnight showing (eight packed theaters) and there were tons of fanboys (15 to 20 years old mostly). Many were reading New Moon and seemed genuinely in to it. My old high school (which is now my daughter's) yearbook staff has sweatshirts that say "Team Yearbook" on them.
I told Audrey that this year's annual will be Twithemed...she laughed at that one.
Rob and Kristen's hospital performance is worth a second look tonight!
Morning ladies :-)) Dani, you were on a roll with the posts last night! Thanks babes!
Amy, I went to an 11Pm showing here in Chicago and the theatre was 2/3 empty :-( There were as many men as women. Not too many teenagers, I am guessing friday night curfew maybe?
I need to see it again. To get past the cheesewiz as Brooke said :P
Did you see the letter sent out from Rob and Kristen and Summit - The big THANK YOU and telling everyone they are moving forward with NEW MOON!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm so excited for ALL of them :)
Oh I know Goz, that is why I went to a second show right away. I seriously couldn't hear the dialogue the first time. Kinda my own fault though, I went to an afternoon screening with friends and a lot of teens bombarded those shows because school was just getting out etc...
The 2nd time I saw it late at night which was so much better!! I could actually hear where all the soundtrack songs were placed and other small moments. The theater was mostly people in their 20's and older so everyone was pretty silent except for the odd *gasp* over Edward's/Rob's hotness of course - I'm telling you that boy can make ANYONE go speechless ;)
