After biting into the role of vampire Edward Cullen in November's much-anticipated Stephenie Meyer adaptation Twilight, Brit actor Robert Pattinson plays surrealist painter Salvador Dalí in the 2009 drama Little Ashes.
Set in 1920s Spain, the film focuses on poet Federico García Lorca (Javier Beltrán) and the intense bond he forms with Dalí while attending art school in Madrid.

Love love love these new Little Ashes stills. Dali's mustache is pretty gnarly though - I don't think I would be able to take anyone with a mustache like that seriously - I think I would find myself staring and laughing at inappropriate times.
Cannot WAIT for this film. Does anyone know any more information about when the trailer is supposed to come out? Wasn't it supposed to be released sometime in October?

Lyla- From the Little Ashes website and multiple others all it says is that the movie will be released in select theatres come early 2009. So no official release date for movie or preview. Bummer I am looking forward to seeing it too.
We have a bunch of theatres here in Portland that show Indie films only so I am hoping to see it around here come next year.
Thanks for the info, Dani. Yeah, I had heard that the movie is going to be released in early 2009, but I swear I heard somewhere that they were going to release a trailer in October.
I am also really hoping that it will be in a theater near me... we have some pretty cool Indie theaters here in the Bay Area, too. *Fingers crossed!*
I love how intense he looks in these movie stills.
He looks like a completely different person with the dark contacts though. The dark eyes make him look very stern.... Not sure I would recognize him like this on the street, I would look and linger, but possibly not recognize him as Rob Pattinson.
