Why did they try to make Rob look so "weird" is beyond me. Edward is supposed to be like Rob, so beautiful, and yet the more pics I see the more I get annoyed with the white paste they put on his face.

It looks like Edward, post change, cue the weird hair. Personally, I think that Rob (not necessarily Edward) looks hot a la goth. He's got the coloring and eyes for it.
Rob could be Goth, Mod, Hick, anything and I would still think he was Hot - although I prefer him as himself (no genre) But Edward, Edward is not a Goth or atypical looking Vampire with the white face, red lips and eyeliner look... I am intersted as to how this falls into Twilight...

This vamp scene may be in Bellas dreams... remember she dreams of Edward as a vampire?!?!
This is from when Bella does the internet search for vampires.
She sees a picture of a vampire biting a woman's neck and then in her head she pictures Rob replacing the vampire on the screen (which explains the weird "vampire" look) and she takes the place of the woman.
This is all in the script.
That picture is for the scene where Bella is looking at a vampire website and the cheesy photo of the traditional 'vampire' is biting the damsel in distress. This photo then turns to life as Edward biting Bella. That's when Bella puts two and two together, realizing what Edward truly is.
Naocas--thanks for the insight. It now makes sense why Edward looked that way. I knew it had to be along those lines.
