Taylor mentions Robert Pattinson a few times in his IESB interview. These are just the parts where he talks about Rob, to read the full interview go here
Q: Who else are you close to?
Taylor: I wouldn’t be able to pick one. If I were to start, I’d end up listing the whole cast. I do spend a lot of time with Kristen because all my scenes are involved with her, so Kristen and I are very close. I guess I’m close with Rob, too, ’cause we spend a lot of time together as well. But, the great thing about this series is that the whole entire cast is so close, and it would be a nightmare if we weren’t. It would be impossible to make this series because the characters are so tight. So, we’re really thankful that we all get along so well.
Q: Who would win in a fight between Jacob and Edward? And what about between you and Rob?
Taylor: Oh, man. I don’t know about between me and Rob. He actually does a lot of boxing, in his time off.(Kate: *faints) It might be a good match-up. We were actually discussing who would win in a fight between Jacob and Edward, while we were on set. There’s a scene outside Bella’s house where Edward grabs Jacob’s shoulder and Jacob doesn’t take that, so takes his arm and rips it off, and that moment Jacob would transform into a wolf.
We were having that discussion and it got really deep. We were like, “If Jacob were to poof into a wolf right now, what would happen? Who would win?” Our discussion points were that wolves are usually with their pack, so if Jacob is without his pack, is he going to be weaker? Honestly, I don’t know. That discussion is still up in the air. We should probably get Stephenie Meyer on the line and ask her.
Q: With Rob and Kristen being a bit older than you, have they given you any advice about enjoying the moment?
Taylor: No. I think most of our talking has pretty much stayed on a business level, and that's the great thing with our relationship. All of us are completely open and not afraid. We don't hold anything back. We talk about our characters together, and have meetings to discuss our characters. It's really, really helpful, but we haven't gotten to life talks yet.

Robert does a lot of boxing?????
Are you kidding me?????
Oh,wow!!!
I think he was joking..Im being dead honest here. Rob cant even run-and I say that with LOVE. He admitted he isnt athletic. BUt WHOA can imagine the bod on him if he did???
Ummm...
Rob...boxing...sweaty...
*dead*
I don't think Taylor was joking. We could obviously see some pretty nice muscles on Robert's arms in some photos from his photoshoots and also the pictures and footage from shirtless scene in Italy show it all!!!!
I hope he wasn't joking about the boxing. HOTT!!!!!!
Hot and bothered.
When I first read this quote somewhere else, I didn't believe it. It sounds SO unlike Rob. Same when the wolfpack talked about being unable to beat Rob's rowing time in the gym. But hell YES, I'd like to see it too. Surely his athleticism has improved. Bareback riding next. Lucky horse...:)
Taylor just went up a notch in my book, saying that he and Rob are close. Apparently they spent a lot of time together in Eclipse, doing the whole love-triangle-thingy.
So, the next few weeks, my life consists of checking Robsessed every FIVE minutes. Productivity? pshht...
Kate: You're not too proud to 'bed'? Freudian slip much?
My first thought was I need pictures of this , please!
Then I thought, pictures of Rob boxing would surely kill me. So, no pictures.
Yeah, I am back to wanting pictures. My good since did not last long. :)
This is the 2nd time the boxing has come up... God please let a video surface of that!'
Rob, boxing bag, shirtless, low slung boxing shorts, protruding V, sweaty, grunting, now there is am image!!!
Thanks RPG, now I am dead just picturing that image. heehee
First of all-- 'not too proud to BED for a video'?????
Second-- boxing is an excellent exercise for people who have coordination issues, who trip over their feet, who have perception and directionality issues. The movement of the feet in place, or in a small area, then paired with movement of the hands, and then twists and turns, plus concentrating on what goes where and when (right vs Left, up vs lower, etc), and developing it into a rhythm, all help in developing coordination, body awareness, and even train the brain (like brain gym), especially brains that have the little misfirings, miswirings, etc. (By the way--piano lessons and guitar lessons are also helpful in this area).
Third-- it is a better way than rowing machines for someone who has to get out frustration and aggression, esp re paps. Picture the paps and punch!
Yep, we know our girl. She'd beD for a whole lot less than a video!
I bet she'd be a willing sparring partner too. Just sayin!
Yeah, I'm definitely going to need to see fuckhot Rob boxing. I swear the man doesn't even TRY and he's a complete panty terrorist.
i think hes trying to kill me!really i do!i have got to see this like NOW!the description by rpatzgirl literally has me panting for air!what exactly does a stroke feel like...?!
Hi Kate...just wondering- WHO would you bed for a video of Rob boxing...;D
Sorry dood you are going to take some sh*t for that tagfail
xxoo
Maybe he started the boxing after he did that fight scene in RM. Back then he seemed to really get energized by taking out that aggression and frustration (dealing with the paps and crazy fangirls)in that scene. Because he didn't stop right away and the director had to tell him twice to stop.
Boxing really is an excellent overall good way to stay in shape. And your mental health is helped too by punching an inanimate object rather than a real life person.LOL
well, he had to be doing something to get his arms in that kind of shape! won't hold my breath, but if a boxing video surfaces
I. Will. Die.
It's ok if it was a rowing machine, though...I can make that dirty too! ;)
